it was like night and day when you compare jmm vs floyd & jmm vs kats,. point is with this guy is saying , just because you put on muscle does not mean your going to use your muscles eff. I think he was to focused on putting on weight and muscle that he neglected to try and bring up that speed with him, also floyd is the best p4p in 147 so no shame that he came up 2 weight classes and lost,. I think that loss does not take anything away from him,. his weight is best at 135 and if pac wants a fight at 147 is pac being a puss,.. Marquez should deny the fight at 147 but knowing how bad he wants it I know he will sign and of course he will loose,. at 140 I see it being competive but pac winning again, I knew he would take kats but did not know he would look that good,..jmm for sure is impressive and hope he gets pac at 140,.

o by the way the fight is showing on hbo right now,..and the **** jokes are old now just a waste of thread space comon guys grow up

im still not buying this whole training weight vs fighting weight stuff. then again im no scientist so i wouldnt know.

all i know is the weights were si9milar, the performances were not.

at 147 i still think he is a credible pac opponent

Like I said, his body has had time to make the adjustment to fully utilize the new mass. This is BIOLOGICAL and not just vague trainer talk.

An NFL linebacker can put on 10 lb of muscle does not mean he will be more agile and quicker overnight.

    No way!

Marquez is not that fighter. In it for the money.:patsch:lol:

They are PRIZE fighters after all aren't they?So they all fight for the money to a certain degree.

Yes,by now Marquez feels he should get the big payday, and why shouldn't he.If any one in the boxing game deserves a big payday, its Juan Manuel Marquez.

JMMs punches had no pop against Mayweather, who made him look slow and out of his depth, whether Floyd is just leagues better or whether weight etc played a role, begs the question. But JMM did look terrific against Katsidis, weighing what some say as 1 pound difference to the Floyd fight. Whether those weights are right, Im not sure, I thought he looked significantly smaller and more ripped Vs Katsidis.

Huh? I think you are not seeing the full picture here. We are talking NEW mass put on specifically for the fight. It does not matter if you are in your 20s or 40s. Your body needs time to adjust.

Which supports the biological concept of your body needing time to adjust to the weight. Overnight new mass (be it muscle or fat) does not lend well to sports that require speed, quick reflexes, high endurance and perfect timing.

I think Marquez didn't have enough time to add the weight properly.

Also he knew the FMJ fight was gonna be a farce (from the contract negotiations) and that FMJ was going to cheat on the weight, as he did.
