Why did Mayweather choose Marquez and not Mosley or Cotto?

Bump that. When's the last time Shane's thrown a combo? Shane's offense is loading up against stagnant punchers and countering. PBF throws punches at irregular intervals that you're not going to be able to make a strategy against.

Pac is PBF's krptonite b/c of the awkward timing + combo punching. Shane is just weak jab and/or loaded up power shot that PBF will slip & counter or just beat SSM to the punch.

 

No, Cotto would just fight some scrub from England. Maybe Floyd should call up Young Mutley and fight him. I bet you all would be a lot happier with that fight than a fight with JMM. And speaking of picking on little guys, didn't Cotto and Mosley both say they wanted to fight Pac(a guy who fought JMM a little over a year ago)?

The truth is, I have no problem with people criticising the fight with JMM given that JMM is coming up 8 lbs. The problem I have is with getting on his case for not fighting Mosley or Cotto right away after such a long layoff(let's just ignore for a minute that Cotto wasn't even available). If Cotto or Mosley were out of the ring for 18 months and then Floyd fought them in their first fight back, everyone would be killing Floyd. Hell, he got a good amount of heat for going up in weight in fighting Oscar after a 12 month layoff(even though Floyd wanted to fight him months earlier). All I'm asking for here is some rational thinking. Expecting Floyd to fight someone like Cotto or Mosley immediately after an 18 month layoff is as crazy as expecting the Mets to finish ahead of the Phillies.:yep

 

Pac, Mosley or Cotto would have to be the logical next opponents.

This place would go crazy if Floyd lost.
