Serious question. Mayweather could have done to McGregor the same thing he did to that Japanese Kickboxer Nasukawa. Yet Mayweather took it easy on McGregor but went HAM on Nasukawa from round 1. There were more reasons for Mayweather's approach towards McGregor to be much more serious and aggressive than his approach to Nasukawa: 1. Mayweather Vs McGregor was a real fight on Mayweather's record, the Nasukawa fight was just an exhibition. 2. Nasukawa was a 19 year old kid, not a prime 28 year old like McGregor was. 3. Nasukawa was much smaller than Floyd, where as McGregor was quite a bit bigger than Floyd. It doesn't make sense to hold back on a bigger opponent, and yet go all out on a much smaller opponent. 4. Nasukawa was respectful throughout the whole lead up to the fight. In contrast to McGregor who was his usual extremely disrespectful self throughout the whole build up to the fight. 5. Both McGregor and Nasukawa caught Floyd in round 1, McGregor with that uppercut, and Nasukawa with a straight left. So you can't say that Floyd went HAM from round 1 against Nasukawa but not for McGregor because Nasukawa landed a punch on Floyd's face. Did Floyd take it easy on McGregor and go all out on Nasukawa because McGregor is a thug and reminds Floyd of himself, or is there a more sinister motive why Floyd took it easy on McGregor, and went all out to knock out Nasukawa from round 1? This might be controversial but does Mayweather have animosity towards Asians? Some may argue that McGregor was more of a threat, and that's why Mayweather showed him more respect, but Mayweather destroyed and stopped Gatti (an even greater threat) within 6 rounds so we know that Floyd doesn't care if you are a threat or not. There is no reason Floyd couldn't do the same to McGregor within 3 rounds.
