WOW I didn't had get why boxing trainer might be guilty just cos boxer get tired etc?
High level am boxers not rarely and high level pros too does have team.
He was tired after 3 rounds vs Pulev.
Trainer might replace brains and gas tank?
He did everything normally vs old Pulev until he get tired first time in this fight, after 3 rounds boxed.

I think they were trying to emulate the Wlad model.

They thought AJ could be the next Wlad and dominate for a decade with a safety first style.

I think robs working with the limitations. Weak chin and questionable stamina. Would any good trainer send a guy out with them weakness,s to knock out a guy with usyks movement etc with them limitations. You,ve got the height/reach advantage. Robs taking the blame but rob gave him the right tactics....joshua just couldnt execute. Pressure him behind the jab. Joshua just didnt or couldnt do it...because usyk was too good for him. Thats not robs fault really.

Joshua,s just limited. Hes got big strengths but has big weaknesses that will always end up letting him down at the top level. Slow reaction times...questionable stamina...weak chin. Poor recovery. Their big things at the top level...remains to be seen if his big strengths can keep him relevant but hes up against it with his limitations.

They tried to outbox Usyk because they wanted to surprise Usyk. Usyk also looked slower and more vulnerable at heavyweight than he did at cruiserweight. AJ is taller and has longer reach and has had success against B level opponents fighting on the backfoot. On paper it should have worked. It didn't work because Usyk has A+ skills, is more mobile, quicker, and better timing.

They were hoping Usyk came in a fat blob at 270 lbs.

Usyk had far more amateur experience there was never a chance that AJ could out-box him.

AJ boxed because he believed he could box usyk...
Its It's even funnier reading it written down isnt it.. lol

The worst part is, He actually thought he could outbox usyk, he was saying things before the bout like he'd added a few strings to his bow and he was gonna shine etc etc, then actually did try to outbox usyk.. couldn't make it up could you.

You need more brains in a team than that when fighting someone with such an arsenal in his toolbox as usyk, and if they dont know that as a professional team then waht can you say to that, but wow!

I also believe AJ thought Usyk couldn't hurt him with 1 shot. Once AJ got stung early, he had to fight a more safe and measured fight, which plays to Usyk's strengths. AJ cannot beat Usyk by outboxing, out working or out thinking. He has 1 shot, land the big KO punch. Very limited in his options.

Yup, and even at that uysk probably has a good enough chin and skills to cope if aj does land something good

Even though AJ is way bigger, heavier, longer, stronger and more powerful than Usyk, had everything in his favour in terms of said physical advantages and his obligatory stacked deck of home advantage and a packed stadium of close to 70,000 raucous home fans cheering him on, he's having to dump his trainer and training team and tour the gyms in the US seeking the advice of most of the top trainers over there and countless other observers to try and beat an inactive CW who his fans and many others were utterly convinced was going to get KO'd by him and who stood zero chance against these big behemoths in the HW division. Well that little CW didn't just beat him he outclassed AJ in his own backyard where everything was stacked heavily against him.
