Ortiz continued to headbutt floyd throughout the whole of the fight, I counted 6 before he torpedo his head into mayweather face. Now only when he blatantly got caught did he want to apologise and kiss floyd?

He then proceeded to apologise again and hug floyd?

So my question is this why would you apologise for something you did deliberately? Because it wasn't accident.

This got me thinking and the only thing I can come up with is that his trainer told him to do this throughout the whole of the fight, and Ortiz listen to him, when he got caught red handed so to speak, he felt ashamed.

    What you guys think?:think

Yes. The butting was a deliberate "strategy" the Ortiz team decided to go with.

They saw fighting dirty worked for Khan, and also for Mares, so they decided it was worth the risk.

Very well might have worked too, if Mayweather hadn't decided to take matters into his own hands. He wasn't going to let that shite happen to him. He knows "what time it is".

Ortiz was in the biggest fight of his life as an unexperienced 24 year old, he had the chance to do what no man has done before and get his name written in history. He just got excited and carried away with himself throwing bombs against Floyd Mayweather, frustration also played a part as he was missing. I think when his adrenaline calmed down I think he was just genuinely sorry for what he had did and couldn't apologize enough. Ortiz is a good guy

    I'd say, it's probably:

1: It was his fight plan, and he was going to carry on doing it - hence, he wanted to appear humble, so he wouldn't get disqualified.

2: He's a rookie, who got a bit over-excited about being on PPV, was enjoying the attention, and lost his head a bit.

Seriously, you do something wrong in boxing, you touch gloves and move on.

Ortiz tried to hug the guy 4 times, over nearly a minute. The last time, Floyd TRIED to touch gloves, and he was still grabbing him.

As I've said a few time - Floyd gave him plenty of changes. As did Cortez. He learned a tough lesson

Ortiz apologized because he started the whole malee by fouling Mayweather. If he never fouled him , there would of been no cheap shot, no distracted referee and he would not of been on his back.
