Pac was at 135, Oscar at 154...Middle ground = 147.
Pac was then at 140, Cotto at 147...Middle ground = 145.

Why force fighters to middle ground? Fight in a division you're comfortable with and/or aspire to or don't bother.

i aint gonna blame pac for the hoya fight, hoya tried cherry picking the little guy and it hit him back in the face.

  5. Seeing as how all of his last three fights were in the Welterweight division, I'm gonna go ahead and assume he's decided.

145 is still WW, and guess what: Cotto agreed, signed the contract, made the weight, got in the ring, and didn't make any excuses.

Nah....he's had one catch weight fight with Miguel and that was based on being unsure if he'd stick around at 147 or if he'd move back down to Jr WW. Since he did well with a legit WW in Miguel....actually Miguel was one of the best WW's in the sport, he is now focusing the remainder of his career at WW....and I'm LMAO about Cotto being weight drained.:rofl

He could have fought Miguel at 147, but at that point Manny was still a Jr WW. Miguel and Manny wanted to face each other and there were still questions on Manny being able to handle a true WW since everyone had a million and one excuses to why Manny beat DLH. So Miguel said a catch weight of 145 would be fine if Manny agreed to that weight. Since Miguel proposed the 145 and Miguel wouldn't miss a contracted with, the fight was set as a WW fight with a limit of 145.

So Cotto would have to lose 7lbs?

That would somehow be more fair to Cotto than having him lose 2lbs?

Am I the only one that thinks that Oscar challenging Pac was nothing more than a promotional attempt to promote Pac and his move up in weight.
