i say it was because of styles. I also noticed that pc seems to lose a lot of enthusiasm cos he cannot land on jmm. this seemed to slow him down

the reason why i havent mentioned the first fight is because pac has really improved 10 folds since 2004. even though i thought marquez won both, nobody established any superiority

this does not mean i fancy pbf big time over pac. jmm works harder than pbf and does not back off as much onto the ropes and take time out in between rounds

All of the above except option 3.
JMM has the tuff's & style to give Manny trouble.
(+gaining 16lbs between the weigh-in & fight night is defo a bad sign)

because marquez is also an elite fighter. it's not like he's some bum ready to be steamrolled.

pac's aggressive attacking style plays into jmm's game as well.

Any "No, Pac didn't. He beat him fair and square." option?

You took the words right out of my mouth...Its the counter-punching style of JMM that caused Pac the problems and I felt that JMM won both fights. Which is the very reason that we will not see Pac fight Floyd. He is bigger and Faster then Marquez and even harder to hit.

Styles makes fights, its the combination punching of his, that precision and the ability to do it when he's getting tagged. Look at Diaz fight for example, many fighters would cover up then unleash, JMM can interrupt your combination and follow up with his own...Pac hates being interrupted. I noticed aswell the way he throws his right hand is particularly effective, he really pushes it far back so even when Pac jumps out of range, it still reaches him.

PBF has a completely different style to JMM...both counterpunchers but thats where it ends.

i think the possible money this fight could generate would be too good to turn down. might not happen this year, but this is the biggest fight to be made on the sports horizon.

JMM is like fine wine. He gets better with age. Mayweather is in for a surprise.

Not a viable option. It seems like this poll relies on fact and not fantasy.

    I voted 'styles make fights'.

    None of the above.

Pacquiao struggled against Marquez because Marquez, simply, is a great pound-for-pound fighter.

In the opinion of many, Marquez won that rematch as well as the first fight.

And, no, I'm not a Pacman hater.
    Far from it.
In fact, I believe Pacquiao's victory over Hatton ranks as a greater accomplishment than Ali's KO over Foreman in the classic Rumble in the Jungle.

But, truth be told, the judges gifted Pacquiao in those two Marquez "wins".

The fight was close. Both struggled w/ each other's style w/ Pac nailing a KD which gave him the judges' nod. Pac also put Marquez in ***** street when he followed Pac to his corner. The other knock down was not counted when Marquez held on the ropes for dear life. If Pac was the only one who struggled, Marquez could have been the clear winner. Pac delivered the telling blows which almost knocked out Marquez had there been time. You guys should be objective to realize that this fight was close. Pac did not only struggle but Marquez also did. Pac did enough to win this fight. Marquez needed more than his counterpunching which was foiled everytime by Pac's gloves.

Mayweather does not attck the body as well as JMM. those bodypunches must of slowed pac down
