Clear as day to me that Pacquiao's gameplan was to sit back and let a "past it" old fighter come to him.

Freddie Roach thought he'd take away Marquez' counterpunch opportunities. He thought that if Pacquiao sat back and waited like Mayweather, Marquez would'nt have the quickness, speed, or legs to connect on Pacquiao.

Roach did'nt factor one big thing.
Pacquiao was'nt Mayweather, and Marquez' ring IQ was so much beyond Pacquiao's comprehension that a waiting game would only hurt his fighter.

The result was Marquez probed while coming foward in the attempt to make Pacquiao counter, so what Marquez did was counter the counter.

Everyone of the Marquez-Pacquiao fights is like watching a someone with string making a kitty cat chase it.
The cat is at the mercy of the string boss, and everytime the boss was Marquez! :yep

:deal I remember Roach wanting Manny to box, which really was the right idea if you want to beat Marquez you have to outbox him, but it backfired on Pacquiao. Then went back to warring, but Marquez by this time was landing the cleaner, harder shots.

    No, you dont outbox Marquez.

I'll tell you that was Bradley did was play the safety first game.
Jab and run. Thats what Bradley basically did, and even then I thought Marquez edged the fight by landing the cleaner and certainly consistently much harder shots.

For someone Marquez' size to beat him, you have to run and play safe. Thats not outboxing.

There was a HUGE dufference in Manny between the 3rd and 4th fights

In the 4th Manny fainted like crazy, drew Juan in many times, and smashed him with hard shots

Youre saying Manny tried to apply the "counterpunch the counterpuncher" tactics in fight 3. All i saw there was a lost kitten without his ball of wool. He was CLUELESS.

In the 4th, he was back on his drugs big time, and even when he was knoked down, his face showed "im gonna kill you"

    Night and day

Pacman on roids is a monster for anyone, its no wonder Mayweather called his bluff

Bradley did what he had to. He used his speed to pot shot the old master. I've no problem at all giving that win to Tim. If he'd stuck with those tactics against Pacquiao in their rematch, he'd have probably have won that too

Marquez was shot WHEN he Obliterated Pacquiao. Any Marquez fights after that are irrelevent

    :hat

I dont buy this "Pac was'nt on PED's" for fight 3.
There was no reason for him not to do it any different without extra PED testing.

Freddie Roach made a big mistake. He sent a student out to box a master and Pacquiao looked clueless simply because he could not connect the dots.

How come Manny changed Night and Day between fights 3 and 4?

Suddenly he was once again Supermanny!

    Night and Day

The difference had NOTHING to do with tactics
