So PAC was incapable of forcing the stoppage in 4 attempts even though he tried, that's what you're saying right? I get you now, you're saying that PAC got himself knocked out because he tried to do something he had failed to do 3 times previously, no matter how hard he tried. Gotcha :good

no he he just got caught by a freak shot if he was getting badly beaten up and backed up before the ko I would be worried...................

fight should of been stopped in the first round first fight marquez was completely blitzed ref should of stopped it

marquez is one tough SOB Floyd knew this straight away Floyd did try to press the attack at times in the fight but he quickly knew that he could not do it that way

But you said floyd couldn't force the stoppage? But neither could PAC, even with 4 attempts. One of which he got knocked out in.

but came much closer and pac is much smaller then Floyd

pac in the first fight against marquez did a lot better then Floyd fight should of been stopped in round 1

no one has ever hurt marquez the way pac has hurt him,

Who cares if he came closer? Katsidis also came closer but he still lost...

PAC went life and death twice, got outboxed once and knocked out once. You're saying that's better than beating Marquez by wide UD? You're so deluded

Yeah it was lame. But it just reflects the current state of affairs within baaxing. If you're top of the tree (i believe the current term for it is "A - side", you fight the weakest, or if not the weakest, you find a way to make them the weakest - either by weight draining them, giving them the most disadvantagoues gloves, the worst ring size etc etc

Its things like this that are so often overlooked at the end of the day on boxrec, but make a world of difference. Thats probably whats was holding the whole Pacweather fight up - both sides being used to forcing their opponents to make conditions that render them far inferioir than they otherwise would be

And now we get to see what happens when two guys used to crippling their opponent at the negotiating table colide.....

    Definitely .

Manny did not look good in that fight , didn't look strong , didn't look fast , didn't look accurate .

It was a poor performance period .

In the 4th fight it was a different story, Manny looked solid , fast , accurate , hungry .

Despite all that He got caught and was forced to take a nap .

Because almost 4 years had gone by since fight 2, and most everyone, including "team Pacquiao" thought Marquez who had some tough fights with Casamayor, Diaz, Katz, and was easily decisioned by Mayweather, was well past it.

During that 4 year span Pacquiao had tore up DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, and Shane Mosley.

Marquez by most opinions was supposed to be a past it sacrificial lamb.
It was supposed to be a reckoning for everone to realize that
    Pacquiao was the superior fighter.
It was supposed to erase the image of Marquez twice dominating Pacquiao previously.

Freddie Roach stated, "It wont go 3, I'm sick of his whining. I've told Manny not to have mercy."

Alex Ariza stated, "not even God can help Marquez!"

It was supposed to have been the new and improved Pacquiao.
The no longer predictable "left hand" happy fighter.
It was supposed to have been the new and improved two fisted punching machine. A whole different animal to what Marquez had dominated twice previously.

Pacquiao was supposed to have stepped in there and made Marquez look like a slow plodding fighter. A fighter not able to get off.
Pacquiao was supposed to have been to quick, to fast, and boxed the pants off of Marquez in a form to embarrass him before the HBO cameras turned the audio and video to Pacquiao's corner so the world could hear Roach tell Pacquiao to go finish him.

:yep It was a reckoning allright! :yep
