BOTTOM LINE... All this drug testing bull**** just shows that : We are not getting the biggest money fight in history because the testing they have right now is NOT GOOD.

Everyone keeps saying how bad testing is, yet guys are getting caught. If the testing is so easy to beat, who has done so? WHat is the whole basis of the current standard being too lax based on?

The BIGGEST FIGHTS IN HISTORY were never prevented from happening b/c of something as ridicoulous as Floyds demands and the accusations he spread to support the testing he wanted.

Its obviously not the best way to test. And fighting sport should deserve nothing but the best testing method

People never got faster bigger and more powerful that quick before either. New generation should require new generation testing. At least after that we could ear other excuses.

Again, who says the currest standard is so bad or easy to beat? Who's passing that shouldn't pass? And why are guys still caught if it's not good?

I'm not going to say USDA testing is not good. But plenty of Olympic athletes have beat their system as well.

I agree but it shouldn't be somethnig that is FORCED on one fighter. If it's going to be a practiced implemented it should be BOXING WIDE and it shouldn't be conformed to meet one fight...it should be designed and implemented throughout professional boxing. What USADA and WADA have done at Floyd's request is to create a testing protocol with some similarities to what they use in the Olympics but it's NOT the SAME testing protocol. Which is anther problem. No one questions the best and most strict tests should be in place! But considering the source of this "movement" to "clean up boxing" it's hard to take it seriously when all of his comments and actions contradict one anther.

I do.....Floyd has created a very clever way of avoiding a fight with PAC. It allows him to save the air it takes to come out and say the words...."I don't want to fight Manny". Instead he can use his newly created persona of wanting to "clean up boxing" as his front for demanding drug tests for a fighter who is as clean as he is.

I think at this point, Floyd's attempt to "clean up the sport" has been exposed as a way out of a fight. No one really bought it then, even less are buying it today.

Good post Lance! Common sense seems to be lacking when it comes to this entire situation.

And the whole "Olympic style is better" takes a hit when you look at the # of Olympians who have been caught later.

Right! I found it hard to believe he had supports 5 months ago but with how things have played out the vast majority are making up their own minds on who is responsible for this fight NOT happening.

Ummm, the whole boxing world knew that negotiations were going on between Pacquiao and Mayweather...the media asks De La Hoya how are the negotiations going (paraphrasing) there close, we're really close. Mayweather was asked about the estimated record breaking bout "I'm on vacation". De La Hoya after he BITCHED OUT, well obviously I was wrong there were no negotiations. <snicker> Floyd doesn't want the fight he'd rather fly to be free. To be free to fly SOUTH with his fellow ducks... :tong

    :good

Mayweather thought he could pull the wool over the eyes of the boxing public with his Olympic Style Drug Testing. His CRUSADE was always superficial, just enough to give him WIGGLE room to get out of fighting Pacquiao. His crusade shouldn't have just been about him and saving his "0". If OSDT is good for his bout it should be done for all professional and amatuer boxing matches. Let's see did he do an impact on that...nope, because it was always about him.

The day I see him spend his own money to campaign to "clean up" the sport of boxing is the day Rev. Jeremiah Wright becomes a Republican...:good:hey
