erik wasn't shot during the first fight against pac. but i think the punches he took in that fight especially in the 12th round may have started his decline. in that 12th round, that was the first time i've ever seen erik's legs buckle like that.

Morales wasn't shot....he was just a bit past his prime, but given his experience in many more championship fights and having tougher fights he had the edge over PAC in those particular areas.

Pac was younger and had his natrual talent and athletic ability that were his advantages so the fight was fairly even going in to their 1st battle. EM had the better game plan and implemented in more effectively.

Pac faught gamely but he still was figthing more one demensionally than not. EM is still not shot...he just got beat by a better fighter. I think he beat Diaz at 135 who is a solid champion and that was EM's first trip to a new weight class and he should have a belt.

MAB while past his prime too still is not "Shot". When PAC crushed MAB the first time MAB was on top of his game. He was beating everyone and PAC took him out. MAB faught smarter the second time round but was beaten convincingly by PAC who showed he has more demensions now more than ever.

PAC lost to EM b/c EM was the better figther that night. Loosing to a GREAT fighter like EM is nothing to be ashamed of....How PAC came back to avenge his loss is what proves he's a future ATG and cements his #1 status in and around his weight class.

Then you haven't seen much of Erik Morales, typical of a Pac fanatic, don't know too much about anything else but Pac.

Anyway, the 1th round was nothing compared to what he went through in his fight against Barrera just 3 months before, and if you want to see Morales' kness buckled watch the first MAB vs Morales fight.

After easily beating Pac Morales went on to lose to Zahir and every fight there after.

So Morales in his last 6 fights has only won ONCE and it was against Pac.:think

we also have to remember that pac-morales 1 was the very first fight of pac @130. morales was way way bigger than pac during that time. but still pac gave a good account of himself.

    Your point is?

Btw on MAB-Morales, that wasn't a clear one. Commentators named Morales as one of the 'IRON CHIN'.(forgot which bout was that)

Its fans like the PAC man Fans that I really do not want to see a fighter go to war like the many wars Barrera/Morales/Vazquez/RafaMarquez. Those fights wear down the body and shorten their careers. I would have liked to see PAC and Morales before barrera/morales so we would have a prime morales, but its cool JMM is gonna give pac another boxing lesson.

nah. i've seen enough of erik's fights especially the trilogy against barrera. i watched a lot of his fights as research when morales-pac 1 was announced. that's why i still say that it was the first time i've ever seen erik's legs buckle like that and he being so close to being legitimately KD'd.

Have you heard of Earth, Wind and Fire? It's an ATG band known for songs like September, Boogie Wonderland, Let's Groove and oh yes.."REASONS".

Because he avoids the best and it pisses people off.

I'll give him credit, he beat Mab and Morales, but really he is very overrrated imo. People actually compare him in terms of greatness to Pep.:patsch

What has he done to be regarded as a legend? He wasn't the first to beat Morales or Barrera convincingly.

LOL...Calm down there Uli. I've seen everyone of EM's fights aside from a few of his early ones. And you are so right...I'm a typical PAC fan and know little about anything else.

Zahir caught EM sleeping on him. For someone who says so freely that I know little about boxing you sure do a damn good job of proving that you are lacking in boxing knowlege. There are many fighters who take a fighter lightly and end up loosing to someone they shouldn't.

EM faught a slick fighter on his best night when EM you could tell wasn't at his best. As you saw EM do his thing at 135 against Diaz you saw a motivated EM and that he can still hang with the divisions BEST. That is not the sign of a shot fighter.

So EM has lost 5 out of his last 6 fights. :patsch He faught PAC 3 out of the 6 times. His figth with MAB was SUPER close although I think he lost in a competitve fight and he slept on Zahir. Diaz if you saw the fight it was really competitive and I think EM really won..

There is nothing wrong loosing twice to PAC or loosing 2 times to MAB. His only legit loss other than MAB and PAC was to Zahir.

THat' alone says a lot....but PAC isn't on the level of the Peps, Armstrongs, Robinsons of the world. He's still very young and just reaching his prime.

Considering his rawness being from the philipines and not have great boxing training I think he's done a TREMENDOUS job getting to this level and it's more than deserved. he's worked hard and beaten everyone they've put in front of him...CONVINGINGLY!

You should be judged on how you preform, the level of your competition and how well you dominate and PAC has been fighting at a VERY high level since 2003! He's had one of the hardest boxing schedules that any ELITE level boxer today has put themselves through.

Yet it's easier for you to really "REACH" in terms of trying to discredit his accomplishments and where he stands in boxings elite.

i like morales. he is a true warrior. i bet he doesn't like excuses and raises pac's hands after the conclusion of the trilogy.

do you think jmm is also shot now?
