Why did Pacquiao lose to a shot Morales?

    Pac lost, Morales scored more...Pac got a headbutt affecting his game. Morales turned southpaw, also causing him those rounds...in the end Morales won the decision...It was a close fight that paved way to a great trilogy.

    i think it was pac's first fight at 130. he was moving up in weight to challenge erik, huge factor... :smoke

    Why so much contempt towards me? Truth hurts.

    I'm a gentleman comapred to the way you guys disrespect people skeptical of Pac's glory.

    The fact is that Pac came in at the twilight of Barrera and Morales' career and still lost to Morales.

    P4P Barrera and Morales can outslug or outbox pac. I have never seen Barrera or Morales as hurt as I have seen prime Pac in some fight including the Hussein fight and the last Barrera fight.

    Even in the Junior Jones fight Barrera wasn't as hurt as when Pac lost to tomato cans and against Hussein who needed a Filip ref to bail him out.

    Simply? Morales wasnt yet shot when Pacquiao fought him the first time.....

    Morales had just lost a close fight to MAB, which was no shame.....

    I think the 1st fight with Pac was kind of the start of Morales being shot, I think that fight took alot out of Erik.....

    Are you saying Morales was shot because he lost his next fight to Raheem? Thats because 135 was just too big for Erik, boxers with that "warrior" style dont fair well once they start to move up through the classes. Add to that the fact that Raheem fights that wierd borderline cheating style, and the fact that Pacquiao had taken Erik down a peg or 2 previously and that explains that loss.

    On Pacquiao's part it was his first fight at 130, and how many times have we seen guys struggle at new weights?

    By the 2nd fight Morales was on his way down, and the 3rd fight Erik was just a shell of himself.

    Dude, Morales had a more gruesome fight against Barrera than he did against Pac. How can you even claim that his fight with Pac took alot away from Morales and not acknowledge that is was obvious that his fight against Barrera was the beggining of the end, considering Morales was the favorite because Barrera had gotten owned by Manny.

    It's funny how you guys re-write history. I remember seeing a bunch of Manny huggers saying Manny was going to walk right through Morales.

    Yeah Manny huggers, they will say anything, I cant recall anyone with an objective opinion saying any such thing. Just like someone who hates Pacquiao would equally make things up as they went along.

    So because Morales had just gone toe to toe with a man who was in the Top 10 P4P at the time (and continued to be until his loss to Marquez 2 1/2 years later) in Marco Antonio Barrera he was shot? Earlier that year Morales had easily run over Chavez & Hernandez with ease.

    Isnt it just likely that the combination of the first Pacquiao fight & the Barrera fight pretty much shot Morales.....

    No one is revising history.

    Dog, everyone knows that Morales had a tough time against a one armed Chavez. That was the first time I realized Morales was on the decline. By the time he fought Pac he had been in more wars than the U.S. has ever declared, and he took the Pac fight just 3 months after having his toughest war to date against Barrera. So yes any fight after those contributed to Morales' decline. It's why he lost to Raheem. It's why he lost 5 out of his last 6 fights, once to Barrera who had beat him previously, one to Raheem, twice to Pac and once to Diaz.

    The you canot change the fact that that Morales was not a prime Morales. I don't care how anyone twists it, Morales who lost to Pac was far from prime. Why is that hard to understand?

    It's okay, Pac won fair and square, but to say Pac beat a prime Morales is ridiculous.
