They had three fights. Morales would have won NONE of those if he had been fighting absolute peak Pacquiao. You see? It's a pointless bull**** statement to make. They had their best nights at different weights. Peak Morales beats Pac at 122 and 126, because Morales was more well-rounded and a better boxer than the sbw/fw Pac. Peak Pac crushes Morales above 130, because Pac was far stronger, faster and more explosive than the lw Morales (and the current ww Morales!). Means nothing. They fought 3 times in reality, and Pac smoked him twice. End of story. :good
Pac couldn't time Morales' jab until the rematch (and I think that's the biggest part of his gameplan for every fight). He only managed to straight-left Morales' jab once in Round 2, and then lost timing of it when Morales snuck more right hands in. Morales used his height well in the first fight so for the rematch, Pac had to work on going underneath the jab rather than to the inside of it like he usually does.
FAIL. You're inventing your own take on your FAILED interpretation of what I said. FAILURE of a response. FAILURE on reading comprehension. FAILURE on intelligence. FAIL. FAIL. FAIL.
Morales was better and cud take anything pac hit him with and came right back. Morales long jab really bothered pac.
Morales fought as the bigger, stronger man and beat an essentially one-handed Pac. I lost money on that fight. Ironically, I have a low winning percentage both on and against Pac and have stopped betting his fights.
Pac was a relatively late bloomer. The fact that he was even competitive in the first fight was quite amazing, and that fight was very close. But Pac was still far from his best. He continued to improve and eventually surpassed his level of Morales (1). And from Diaz on, he got noticeably better in nearly every aspect of the game. His fights with JMM were competitive. I scored both for Pac, but would not have complained much if one or both had been awarded to Marquez. However, current Pac v JMM would be a one-sided beatdown, due to Pac's continued improvement. There's no great mystery here. The guy just gets better each outing.
He was blind in 1 eye. He didnt have his gloves. Morales outboxed him. Its a combination of the 3 imo.
it was a great fight where Morales offered one last great show of his mad skills.... Pac had no chance with his choice gloves or not.
Morales was bigger, stronger and more technically skilled that night. Plus the cut didnt help at all.
Because of the bad cut over his eye which happened from an unintentionally headbutt. The blood kept flowing down to his eye so he could not see things clearly. That's the real cause of the problem.
Pac lost because he was not the better fighter that night... Pac was also not at his peak, just like Morales wasn't, they peaked at different weights. Peak Pac would destroy Morales at his peak, Pac would be the bigger and better fighter.
