Yeah facts are facts but you got to remember when paciou started to come up he was a c- class boxer some under the radar considered but not highly ranked but he stepped into to a A-class fighter and various weights and even jumped 2 weight classes and went straight in and defeated and knocked out or down an A-class seasoned pro all this with Ariza supplying milkshakes since accusation are focusing on manny and Ariza now gone he ain't looking so sharp and he stopped Algeri who lets face it is a part time boxer who has a degree in another subject and basically will come out of boxing and work in another complete field
And manny was clipped all day

Foreman, was a preacher. That right there alone discredits your theory.

When Manny was at 130 he weighed the exact same as he does now. Now he just doesn't cut any weight. OF course his speed will remain the same...his body is the same.

Pacquiao's age, physical decline, level of opposition, fighting naturally bigger men; these could all also be factors.

In recent years he has dropped Mosely, Marquez and Algieri; so he still has some power, for sure.

What's more the likes of Clottey, Bradley and Rios are not likely to be stopped by anyone. Pacquiao did land hard shots against them all, marking them up quite a bit.

You could also argue that the Margarito and Algieri fights should, in fact, have been stopped, such was the beating.

I'd say Pacquiao still hits pretty hard. Maybe not hard enough to stop the best welterweights in the world, but hard enough to hurt and worry them all.

biggest reason for this is the way his opponents fight pac. when pac was new to ww, people (and his opponents) thought he was too small and started walking him down. or at least fight him agressively without regards for his punching power (just imagine you are ww and you are fighting malignnaggi, you will prolly the same gameplan).

dela hoya, hatton, cotto, margarito. clottey just went to turtel shell virtually the whole fight. margarito has an iron chin and the ref refused to stop it.

after that, everyone tried the marquez formula of moving away from his left hand, or at least they fought him defensively and on the backfoot.

bradley, rematch, tried to be agressive early but eventually went into survival mode.

the only exception really was rios, but that fight was right after pac was kod by marquez and had a long layoff. sort of he was shaking the rust and was more concerned of getting the win first and foremost than to look for a ko.

How many guys on the decline list have ever been knocked out? EXACTLY

I honestly think people are just drunk off the hatton KO, and started calling manny a "monster"

Exactly. I should've been more specific.

The 1x/2x/3x/etc. are the number of times each opponent had been knocked out before fighting Pacquiao. In parentheses I note whether the opponent went on to be KO'd by others.

My point is that in general, Manny knocked out guys who could be knocked out. The only person who was only knocked out by Manny in their entire career was Barrera.

This latest run of guys he's been fighting are damn near indestructible.
