They were getting to freindly between rounds.

 

They were giving eachother too much respect and kept touching gloves after every round.

 

Purely, pyschological. They didn't want him showing Jermaine any respect DURING the fight. If somebody wanted to take your head off, would you shake their hand?

 

I agree with them.

At the end of the day for those 12 rounds they are both out there to hurt eachother and do what it takes to win the fight not make friends.

After the fight is when they can kiss and make out if they want.
