why did PBF retire?

he's bored but he'll be back. count on it.

 

Nothing left to prove done all he could do and was bored with the sport. He'd rather do other things now with his new found celebrity.

 

Pbf's reason "i've accomplished everthing i need to accomplish in boxing. floyd dont need boxing, boxing needs floyd" and then he sed "5 time world champion, 4 different weight classes and cotto is very good".

i think this is just one of his tricks. like one of the guys on this forum wrote "he waiting and hoping that Oscar takes down cotto, so he can return and have a rematch with oscar and make even more money, because after beating cotto dela hoya vs mayweather would be an even bigger fight"

one flaw to that logic was that dela hoya aint gona beat cotto, but if he gets Ko'ed (which i fink he would by body punch) then mayweather vs cotto will also be an even bigger fight.

 

Floyd Mayweathr Jr failed to establish himself as the best welterweight in the world, because he never fought the contenders of the division. (Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Mosley)

Floyd Mayweather Jr also claimed to be better than the great Sugar Ray Robinson. He didn't prove that by seeing off every challenge, and rivaling the Sugar Man's resume.

If you actually believe that whole charade about, "I have nothing left to prove", you must be a huge fan. :yep

i fink cotto will take his share of beating but i think he'll manage to dig a good enough body shot to stop dela hoya later in the 10th round

PBF established himself at 130 as the best 130 pound fighter ever he's won titles in 5 weight classes what else is left? People like you kill me with that he didn't prove anything at 147 BS he won the linear championship there that's the biggest accomplishment you can have. He proved he was the best by winning the linear championship at 147.:deal

 

i just felt cotto is a tremendous body puncher who breaks you down. and dela hoya is way off his prime and his speed to avoid punches is deteriorating.

i think cotto's game plan will be to destroy the body and the head will fall, because to be honest i dont think he can KO dela hoya by going to the chin.
