barrera foguht the fight of his life, he changed his whole style to defeat naz. Why would a man as arrogant and rich as naz be as bothered as you make out. Watch the docu i mnetioned and you might get a betetr idea.

Ducking Norwood leftovers? JMM was a nobody who had beat nobody back then. He never earned his shot at Hamed and then lost to Norwood

 

How much Hamed have you seen? As a 21yo Hamed was fleet footed and a boxer type combination thrower, for a few years pre-Barrera he became flat footed and a 1 shot slugger.

If you havent seen all his early fights watch them and see, Hamed went down hill after 1995, his power probably got better but his other skills detoriated. Hamed is the featherweight Tyson

 

i think its because nas image was unbeatable, cocky etc. once he loss then he sort of lost his image as the unbeatable kid and cuz he got beat he cud no longer go abot bein so arragont. its a shame he dint have a rematch. i think thats one of the reasons.

 

Do some research before you stick your foot in your mouth even further. JMM was #1 mandatory to Hamed for almost two years and Hamed continuosly ducked him.

Maybe. I honestly haven't read that many replies. I stopped after reading the first British posters reply who made a list of 7 points (that kinda made Naz seem like he was always going to retire at that stage, even if Barrera never happened).

After reading that list, I just clicked "reply" and said anyone who doesn't mention him losing and not wanting to lose again as part of the reason, is kidding themselves.

His ego was too damaged! The people around him were all like yeah youre the GOAT easy and when he was beat so handily it hurt him so much mentally i dont think he ever wanted to lose like that again so rather than try to become better he quit

 

Barrera put a clinic on Hamed that night! Did you see Stewart running past Hamed after the 12th and tell Barrera..." that was beautiful!"
It got Stewart fired from the Hamed camp, but he could care less. Hamed just had a heavy hand. Barrera gave Hamed a one sided defeat. Hamed wasn't motivated? He was so motivated and confident he dedicated the fight to the ISLAMIC religion.
After the fight he asked for a rematch, as well. Hamed had no heart

 

To me it seems that Nas just couldn't handle to lose a fight. He was so in love with himself, taking a beating (by Barrera) took his motivation to fight away.

Naz was a victim of his believe in his own invincibility. Once Barrera took that away he found out(as we all did) that he did NOT have the "heart of a lion", as he was so fond of saying!

 

You know as much as the guy in your avtar. How can you say hes not a great fighter when he only lost when his heart wasnt in it anymore and he wasnt giving it 100%
