Why did Prince Nas retire so soon?

He had no profile in Britain. None whatsoever.

 

Barrera taking his spirit and heart was rubbish, he wasn't the same fighter before he fought Barrera, not every fighter can fight effectively into their 30's

 

his ego was pricked learning that there are boxers out there who are actually better than him. he can't have the same ring entrance again.

btw, how much did he earn in that fight? is he really set for life?

 

Thats Bollox, Barrera was robbed against Morales and Morales stopping Hamed, are you having a laugh? Morales would get hit more and probably would have been ko'd, Barrera was far better defensively

Hamed cleaned out all the featherweight division, I dont see how thats ducking anyone

 

Hamed offered JMM a career high payday and JMM turned it down, that much is fact :deal JMM hadn't beat anyone of note when HAmed was champ :deal JMM ****ed up his chance of fighting Hamed by losign to Norwood :deal

I'm no particular lover of Hamed but this is complete and utter garbage!!! How on earth can the ten world champions he beat not be "good fighters"???

somewhere inbetween what you both said, you need to find a middle ground between "no good" and "world champions"

He had bad hands and just didnt seem to want it anymore.

 

That was a very unusual ending to what I thought was a pretty dam good career for Nas.

I would've loved to seen him fight the other guys in the Fab 4 of this era (JMM, Pac, Morales.) I think he might've been able to go 1-2 in those matchups.

I really wish he took FLoyd's challenge at a CW of 128 after Mayweather beat Diego, but I don't blame him for avoiding that fight since he would've gotten destroyed handily.

 

NAZ in reality was the smallest of all the above, in body frame he matches Rigo. Maxed out at 122, his fights at 126 were hype and a planned maximum cash out

He would have been best at 112, 115, 118, same applies for Rigo. At least Naz made the max $ possible for a midget of his frame, Rigo is up against bigger guys for no $ and he is already past his best atsch

You're right, The Prince was a rather small FW who just so happened to have dynamite in both hands. I like the comparison with Rigo, but RIgo's technical ability as a master boxer allows him to go up in weight and dominate pretty much anyone now from 126 on down.

Nas was always very fun and exciting to watch. That match he had with Kevin kelly was probably his crowning professional achievement in the sport.
