Dinamita let that fight go now!! We all know who you thought won, we all know you despise the showmanship Calzaghe uses What irks you most is the printed fact bywhere it says the letter W next to Calzaghe's name against Hopkins. And yes, the hump and the turnbuckle aren't comparable.......
Great post Hoya :good Naz could off been a proper legend and in my eyes he is, enjoyed watching his fights more than any other.
totally agree, he woke up one morning, in his silk pyjamas , and had to come to terms with stuff(he wasnt invincible), realised he had a load of money had had a successful career, and didnt have the motivation to box anymore
Satisfied? Hamed continually talked about his goal being to become the best that there ever was......thats a pretty lofty goal if you ask me..... ......yet the first real class boxer he ever faces, he is made to look like a rank amatuer....... .....just dont give us this crap that Hamed lost desire.....absolutely not....he did'nt lose it.....it was torn from him by MAB..... MAB reached into and grabbed Hamed's heart, took a bite out of it and spit it out! For a fighter who's goal it was to be the best there ever was, he quit as a fighter as soon as he realized he was kidding himself.......I'll give him credit for that!:yep
.....and Hoya-uk, its common knowleadge that Hamed petititioned the alphapbet groups to bypass his #1 mandatory contender, Juan Manuel Marquez. .....there is really no need to discuss this issue!:deal
Exactly......He woke up one morning after the MAB fight with the realization that his goal of becoming the best that ever was, was'nt attainable.....not even close..... ....and so he said, "No more!" Good for Hamed.....why risk your health, when financially you're set?
I think he was losing interest before he faced Barrera. His bank account was full and i think he was sick of all the aggro that surrounded his last few fights.Naz had been given bad advice and he knew it,he had a new trainer, his brothers were controling everything and costing him money. All the fun had gone out of boxing for him.He did not quit after losing to Barrera he did try and carry on but i think he just decided to get out of boxing and enjoy his life with all his senses intact.
such a unique fighter. But he fell in love with the KO. He also seemed to look passed barrera. " If Jones ko'd him, surely I will..." In his heart of hearts he probably did not want it bad enough. The Prince had to be Phenomenal ....not just Good. He didnt want to deal with the pressure I guess.. or maybe he knew marco would make him fight the rematch in Mexico..
