Ok Jones was KO'D twice:roll: but so was Lewis. What does that make him?

I think Roy saw a title he could win, and accomplished his mission.

I would doubt that there was ever any intention of defending, Lennox Lewis or not.

I can't fault Roy for doing what he did (making history), the only mistake he made was returning to the ring too quickly afterwards.

The only fight Jones wanted at heavyweight when he beat Ruiz was Tyson. That fight wasn't gonna happen so Jones moved back to 175. There were rumors of a Lewis vs Jones fight but nothing ever came about. The other heavyweight champs at the time were Lewis, Byrd, and Brewster.

Jones were KO'ed by people bigger than him, Lewis by people his size.

Ok, but but when you say "glass jaw" the very same arguement can be made about Lewis. Not discrediting Lewis or anything but they were both KO'D twice. Doesn't really make either one of there jaws glass.

Becuase RJJ had more sense , he achieved his goal of been HW champ , made history , and got out of there. He proved that he could compete and win against a top heavyweight of the time. Something very few others have done from starting out at MW.
