The way that Roy Jones ducked Sven Ottke was really special in many ways, Ottke turned pro in 1997 and became world champion in 1998. Even before turning pro Sven was calling Roy Jones Jr out, his team also made several offers to Roy Jones to fight Sven but received no replies to them. Sven was world champion for 6 whole years and had to retire undefeated since good fighters just wouldn't face him. Ducking Sven Ottke will always be the darkest stain on Roy Jones Jr's career. I'm just writing this completely ******ed thread in protest to so many other equally ******ed threads that are popping up. What's with this forum and these boxing fans here? Does boxing attract a ******ed fan base is that the explanation?
No one in the world expect for maybe 5 people on this forum, and his compatriots have ever heard of him or seen him fight. Roy probably never even heard of him. You should rephrase your questions "Why did Sven Ottke duck Roy Jones and the rest of the world"
In Europe he would of had to do ped testing.... Hence better stay In USA and fight postmen...with ur glass chin.
When i first time watched Ottke's fight i promissed my self never ever watch him again because it was causing me dipression.
