Gary is now promoting classy WBO rated featherweight Joel Brunker who will make his debut in the USA on October 27. Shaw, Geale and Brunker will be at ringside for the Julio Chavez vs Sergio Martinez on Saturday night in Las Vegas with Geale looking forward to challenging the winner with the WBA, IBF and WBC titles up for grabs. “The winner of Chavez Jr. and Martinez could be my next opponent,” said Geale. “I’m willing to fight the best out there and my promoter Gary Shaw is ready to make it happen. It’s an interesting fight and the winner puts himself in a great position to challenge me. I never shy away from a great test and I’ll be ready to go when Gary Shaw tells me who my next opponent will be.” Geale’s fellow countryman, undefeated featherweight contender Joel Brunker (23-0, 13 KOs), will join him while they both attend fight week activities. Brunker said “I’m excited to be traveling to the United States and be present for Chavez Jr. vs. Martinez. I’ll remain in the States and start my training camp in preparation for my fight scheduled for October 27th. Daniel Geale and I both want to show the United States audience what we are made of.” Shaw added “I’m extremely excited to be promoting the best fighters out of Australia. Grange Old School Gym has been fantastic working with me and Daniel Geale, and it’s been a pleasure working with Angelo DiCarlo with Joel Brunker. The future looks bright for my company being that we have a great working relationship with all the top talent from the land down under.”
Martinez has fought solid fighter of late and pavlik was a great win. I thought he beat Paul both times just didn't get the nod. I do think Martinez is desperate for a mega fight since he is 37.
Oh wow an article quoting Sturm.............. It's almost like god talking to me. It must be true!!!!!!!!
Sturm has said about literally every lineal middleweight champion who's reigned at the same time as him as well as his German rival Abraham, yet magically none of those fights has ever materialized. He's never actually found the desire to come over here and never made a serious offer for over there. Geale turned down two offers for the Barker date last year, despite talking about targeting Martinez after he won his first belt vs. Sylvester. This came up in a Rafael chat; can find the quote if you want.
No I live in a nice Middle class neighborhood..... but it's good to see how stupid your statement was. Hopkins ducked Masoe!!!!!!!!!!!! That coward.
More than you've provided to this thread fudge packer. Downtown BK ain't where you want to parade your stuff honey, there's too many cops around there.
What on earth does that have to do with anything in that post, specifically the point about negotiating leverage with Chavez?
Nope. I don't live in Williamsburg or Bed Stuy.... Born and raised *****!!!!!!!:hi: Why are you worried about where I live you ***? Realized you are too stupid to talk boxing and now trying to find some way of insulting me to deflect from your stupidity?
