Why did Shane seem to hurt Mayorga more so than Trini or De la hoya

Power wise Trinidad hits much harder than Shane, and so does De la hoya. Yet Shane stretched him OUT! He pretty much gave up and was fatigued with Trini and Hoya, albeit being hurt against both of them.

All of them opened up a can of whoop ass on Mayorga. I think if you asked Mayorga he would tell you that they all hurt.

He did it in the final second of the last round. Trinidad did it in the eighth and Hoya did it in the sixth. Why are you so impressed?

If there is one thing I find impressive about shane's KO, it's that he did it to a man weighing 10 more pounds than him, who was leaning on him the whole night.

it was accumulative and had alot to do with Mayorga being spent. In the 4th and 5th rounds Shane landed some flush power shots and Mayorga barely flinched.

I think if there is a reason Mosley ko'd him "out cold" is because he took Mayorga to the last round and the sheer phsyical exhaustion added to the type of knock out you saw. It's much more impressive to me to knock out a still energetic fighter with a good clean hit.

Mosley has good power when he really loads up but in terms of 'normal' punches his power lags behind DLH and Trindidad.

I thought Mayorga took a much worse beating when he fought Tito and DLH.

I disagree that Hoya hits harder than Shane and at this weight class like it was proven in 2003. Tito fought Mayo at 160 lbs and that was definitely not Ricardo's territory, too up north of his natural border, actually like in his last fight against overweight Vargas. Shane's ability to pump of the volume and hit sharp and with powershots is underestimated... Rosenthal is harsh but I would agree that Shane is not the electrifying punching machine he was in his IBF LWT reign days. He couldn't be because he's 37 but still, he can connect according to law, he can pace himself, he can adapt and take it pretty sluggish and brawling style... I agree with Shane, Berto is not out there for him, Margarito is the name.

Shane drove Mayorgas jaw into the back of his skull like a straight right would.

Different types of punches can result in different outcomes.

He caught him square on flush on the chin.

The punch landed more like a straight shot than a typical hook that woudl knock the jaw side ways.

Plus Mayorga was knackered and the shot was so quick he did'nt see it comeing until it was too late.
