Why did so many people line up before Chavez Jr?

I mean look at this: http://i.imgur.com/FaxtFLx.jpg

I have always stated my opinion on various threads that there's absolutely no reason how Chavez Jr can KO Fonfara. I mean the kid did not KO anyone above MW, and he comes to LHW, fight a sized, decent LHW as Fonfara and just KO him? How's that possible? I didn't think he'd get destroyed like that but rather I thought the fight'd go to scorecards but wow.

Chavez Jr should've built his LHW career more slowly and shouldn't have gotten so coc'ky. Too much confidence isn't always a good thing. Froch must be upset he didn't fight Chavez Jr when he could.

I have to admit I still bought into that theory if Chavez worked hard he could be truly something special. The truth is even if he does work hard he's just not a true elite talent.

I predicted a Jr win, but on points and totally undeserved like multiple times before.

Turns out I was wrong on both accounts. Him surviving the full 12, and the judges being bought because they scored as much as everyone else saw it.

Was nowhere close to begin with.

Beating Rubio and Manfredo plus fighting Zbik even is not anything that should have given anyone high hopes for his career... Andy Lee now looks like a pretty darn good win but at the time that seemed like a cash-out of sorts on Lee's management. Nonetheless a good win and he achieved more than one would have thought early on in his career. Was just never special beyond being able to eat Sergio's punches for 11.5 rounds.

The only reasons he had the platform to do what he did and the only reason why beating the above names seemed more notable than they should have been is because of Julio Jr's last name.

People didn't realize the unfair under-the-table advantages he usually had over his opponents i.e. size and most likely PEDs.
