Why did Teddy Atlas leave training Mike Tyson?

    I heard several versions of why Teddy Atlas was dismissed from Cuss Damato's gym.

    What really happend? And how many times has Teddy pulled a gun on somone? It seems like it could be a lot. He was lookin for Donnie Lalonde with a firearm

    How come Teddy never went pro like his lesser counterpart Kevin Rooney? Teddy is way tougher than Rooney, but rooney is pretty tough too.

    for all your answers look for the teddy atlas book that came out a while ago. But Tyson was crewing with his niece who did not appreciate it, and teddy pulled a gun on Tyson in an alley and told him if he ever ****ed with his family he would ****ing kill Tyson. Then he moved back to NYC from the Catskills.

    And Teddy never went pro because he had a spinal condition, and cus took him under his wing to teach him the craft of training.

    I trust Teddy more too . Just that is Tyson's side. I am a little annoyed with him saying that Teddy talks tough and has everyone fooled that he is a tough guy.
