I'm surprised our own poster, A-Force hasn't been on here to tell us that it was Audrey that beat the man, that beat the man. Harrison-Williams Williams-Tyson.
because people were afraid.. they were scared of the prophecy.,. everyone and all the companies worked together to keep audley down.. but they never did it.. beccause as audley says YOU TRY AND TRY until you succeed a-force audley harrison never gives up
I grew to like him then back to being ****ed off with him, my problem with him was he thought it was going to be an easy job winning the the world title. He thought he only had to turn up and everything was his. He said things like how he could probably win the British title in his first pro fight. Another thing which was before or just when he turned pro he was saying about where he would be remembered in the all time greats of heavy-weights wondering if it would be top three or 5 !!!! which was so disrespectful to boxers that had given their all. well it won't be in the top 5000 Audley I started to like him a bit after he got beat a few times and admitted he needed to work hard and stopped being a ******. I then went back to disliking him after the Haye fight as before it was all talk and although i never thought he woudl win, i thought he might have put up a good fight
If anything the british public cherish our "bad" sports men more than our outstanding ones, Jimmy White springs to mind However we do not appreciate our bad sports men who do not try, Audley a number of times got himself into gd positions and did not even try to win even after shouting his mouth off we love our sportsmen who have heart and give it their all even if they are not the best or most talented, we accept and love our failured sportsmen if they give it their all, show respect to their opponent, uphold british values and go out on their sheild Audley did non if what we appreciate in our failed sports men
Harrison got £1.5 million for that fight. The British boxing board held it for a bit if I remember cos his performance was so bad. They worked miracles really getting that fight on PPV.
Talked way too much and delivered nothing and then made countless attempts to redeem himself and again did nothing. Also worth noting, he did win a gold but what people don't know is that he won it at super heavy where there were about 4 other guys & most of the guys who'd been beating him in the previous years had retired or gone pro so the competition wasn't exactly great.
People say Brits like losers which is completely untrue, just look at Audley. We do however like losers when they are valiant in defeat, we also like winners when they are valiant/humble in victory. All the British public cares about in terms of being a fan is that you give it everything you've got, being relatable/down to earth helps a lot aswell.
