Lewis`s prime seems to stretch over both his losses because thats the way the likes of Zakman describe it, as Lewis getting sparked twice in his prime, that means he must have had a 7 year prime! Wow thats pretty good since Tyson is given excuses for every loss including Douglas because his prime only lasted until 88 lol for 2 years, the same excuses are peddled out for Evander, I think they usually give him about a 1 year prime, a heart attack, a torn shoulder and a cold as excuses lol.

#1 by Ring Mag, and anyone with a brain also ranks him as the top heavyweight right now.

As far as your thoughts on the heavyweight division, or the your opinion on the general public's mind... I really don't care.

Wlad was inexperienced against Ross! He was winning the fight against a tough trialhorse with a granite chin and he punched himself out! A fighter may be in his physical prime when he is younger? But as far as his best prime form, that comes with the experience and mental tools to go along with the physical!! Wlad is 50-3 with 44 KO's! Not too bad? He reversed his loss to Brewster who was still a top fighter by stopping him. Sanders was so inactive that Wlad had nothing to gain by fighting him again except for personal vengance. Puritty never really made it past journeyman status so again Wlad had nothing to gain by fighting him excpet personal vengance! As Lewis said on Sat night, you take a 200 plus lb fighter and if you get nailed on the chin your going down! Wlad was KOed by 3 big hitters, he recently reversed the one that was most significant in Brewster. Sanders could have been much, much more, but he never fought on a regular basis so it would have been meaningless for Wlad to fight him instead of a deserving contender.

Fair enough, all of that though doesn't answer - why didn't they mention it?

Short answer is, they'd rather people forgot about that one.

Wlad's been on the canvas something like 12 times. He's been stopped 3 times. When **** like this happens, your chin is always going to get questioned.

Because that loss was when Wlad was too green.

The purity fight was long ago and during a different carnation of Wlad's career. It no longer has great relevance. He has since improved tremendously and works with a different trainer. He was nobody when he lost to Purity. He was also leading handedly in that fight before tiring in the 11th round. If a prospect is destined to pick up a loss against a journeyman, purity is just the man to do it against. He had a solid chin, heavy punch and veteran experience against good fighters. It was similar to Liston losing an early match to Marty Marshal, though Sonny had far fewer fights than Wlad did against Purity

Vitali nearly killed Purrity. Vlad was easily beating Purrity until he ran out of gas in the 11th round. He then went on to be the first to stop Axel Schultz, who Foreman could not.

This crap it beating a dead horse. Vlad is the very best heavyweight in the world and so bigots can't accept that fact.

Lennox Lewis was stopped two times, anyone think his chin is bad.
Joe Louis was stopped, anyone think his chin was bad?
Not to mention so very many others. Vlad was drugged in the Brewster fight. He was not prepared for the Sanders fight. And the puritty fight Vlad was busy promoting the fight, did not train, got tired, but was easily winning that fight, very early in his career, 11th round, not knockout, TKO, his corner stopped it.

Vlad's career speaks for itself. He is the very best.

 Where were you when he was losing? I don't hate Wladimir but I am not a Klitschkomaniac either. He is a large man who fights like a large man with a weak chin. If he were of average size he would be an average fighter. Hey, I don't knock him for using his size to his advantage but let's not over estimate his skills and underestimate his size advantage. If he were only allowed to fight other super heavyweights he would be merely average.

Sometimes I wonder if you guys even actually SAW the WK vs Boss fight ?

Boss KOed WK the same way Klitschko knocked Brewster the **** out in their second fight...not at all.

The fight was stopped...WK punched him self out, desperate to KO Ross in front of his buddies in Kiev at the age of 22.
