Dude they offered 2.5mil after he lost to haye

then he goes to accept then its almost halved

That tells me it was never serious and thats before they start their funky contract deals

    Yes, I was generalizing.
But Valuev IS one of those fighters like foreman who has not lost any of his attributes, but has rather gained ring smarts and punching accuracy.

He doesnt waste shots, and rarely gets hit right on the button, and when he does, his granite grill imposes itself on his opponent.

IMO Haye, Vitali, and Wlad all beat him, handily. But Haye would outpoint him with his potshotting, and Wlad and Vitali would MAYBE TKO him with a ref stopping the punishment.

BUT, Valuev beats the **** out of Adamek, Solis, Mormeck, Potvetkin etc etc etc.

Valuev is one of the top 5 guys of this generation of HWs and a rematch with Haye MIGHT put the belt back around Nicks waste.

That said, he is a real decent legacy builder for either or both of the brothers.

Valuev is managed by Sauerland. Sauerland has a history of legal quarrels and hate vs. K2. Valuev, Povetkin and Haye ... all Sauerland fighters and for one reason or another Sauerland won't let them fight the K brothers.

No, you clearly didn't follow this whole story....or you just pick and choose to suit your agenda.

Yes they offered 2.5 mil, by far would've been Valuev's biggest payday, even without a belt. Greedy DK demanded 4 million and K2 told them to walk. This was for a summer fight in a 50k+ soccer stadium. After realizing Valuev had no other options for a big fight, DK/Sauerland came crawling back a few months later and wanted the deal that was offered. By then they Euro exchange rate had changed significantly and the fight wouldn't have been in a large soccer stadium due to economic/seasonal/scheduling reasons. That's why the offer dropped to 1.5 mil, which still was a decent offer considering Valuev has no belt, wasn't a mando, and still had no other options to get a title shot or other big fight. Vitali even visited Nico at home to try and get this done, and I believe Valuev was good with it, but DK/Sauerland play games and priced themselves out (hmm sounds familiar doesn't it?).

So then Vitali met with Briggs one on one, deal got done easily and quickly....so much for your funky contract theory.

You're joking right? Did you follow how the story unfolded at all?

  10. Don King priced Valuev out every time there was an offer, and then had him fight Ruiz and Chagaev in stead.

They nearly HALF the deal a few months is nothing in boxing time frames, they knew that would not be accepted.

I have listened to Chris byrd, Valuev Haye Chisors and many others talk about absurd contracts offered by K2

    they are not all lying

How the story unfoldedaccording to Klitschko is not necessarily the truth these are guys that dont want to include medical or travel expenses to opponents contracts when they promote fights

they can not in any way critisize other promotors

You're really not helping your case Doyle.

Byrd - Wlad was a mando for him, that means purse splits were set by the IBF. Byrd also had no promoter. Byrd was a case of sour grapes, he got his ass kicked twice by Wladimir and lost his belt to him twice.

Haye and Valuev - Slaves to Sauerland/DK and keep making ridiculous demands. Enough said.

Chisora - A 14 fight novice was lucky to have even been offered a shot. He's not Euro level champ or even close to being a mandatory challenger. He's just another big-mouthed Brit.

And if you still don't understand the Valuev offer, try taking an economics course in school. You talk as if Valuev deserved so much more, and he doesn't.
