I seem to remember during build up to the fight that they allowed khan to wear the reebox gloves however after a short while disapproved of it and told him to wear reyes gloves...does any1 know why this is and why are fighters not allowed to wear their own custom gloves, i mean what harm does it actually do.

Apparently Maidana's Camp didnt like the look of them and had them get weighed and the gloves ended up weighing 9.5 ounces so Khan had to switch gloves

    They weighed 9.5 ounces.

The joke was on Diaz though. Getting 8oz Gloves only benefited Khan more :rofl and Khan got the chance to get out of wearing Reebok's, which he's contracted to do.

You'd think with all the money involved that Reebok knowing what the requirements are would have had the decency to make gloves the right weight :patsch

I hope Khan changes to reyes when his contract with reebok expires...

They look way better on him, imo.

They wanted to take him out of his comfort zone. It's disadvantageous to use pillows right?

I bet you the guys/team who sent them Khan the wrong weight gloves are in big ****, that was Khan's most high profile win, and Reebok missed out.

Yup especially with the way the Reebok glove would've looked when Khan landed that bodypunch
