Why did the WBC strip Timmy Bradley this time?

Apparently the WBC doesn't like Timmy "the Brat" Bradley.
They already stripped him of his WBC LWW title in '09 and now they did it again this year.

I can't believe they did it for him ducking Khan cause he isn't even ranked by the WBC because of his titles so there must be another reason.
I saw the Barrios vs Morales fight is for the vacant belt now, so a Khan vs Morales fight might be on the horizon :bbb

Schaefer mentioned Khan fighting Morales in December when interviewed during the Primetime broadcast of Khan vs Judah. :yep

I agree with the belt being stripped but not with it being given to the winner of Morales/Barrios.

Khan/Morales would be an interesting fight to watch after what happened in Morales/Maidana, but it shouldn't be worth a belt.

Either way, if Khan beats Morales, he becomes undisputed unified champion, and moves up to 147 without needing to look back, which I'm fine with as there isn't anything left in the division for him if Maidana beats Guerrero, Devon has a lacklustre performance against Matthysse, and Bradley keeps ducking.

147 is where the world wants to see Khan.

So Morales-Barrios is definitely for the WBC strap now?

I hope Morales loses. I’m all for Khan unifying the belts, but not like this. Your claim to an achievement like this is lessened if it's acquired by feasting on a shot legend. It needed to be Bradley, because Khan’s status of being the unified champ of the division would have been a solid one.

Bradley has been hoarding the belts and trying to use them as bargaining chips for a superfight that is never going to come for him. The other day he claims a Khan fight isnt good enough for him, then admits its unlikely he will fight till next year! Why should everyone wait around for his legal issues to be solved? He should be stripped. Morales has seen better days but I still think he's got something left. He wont be taking a knee like Judah thats for sure. I would view a victory over Morales as more legitimate than last weekends farce.

Bradley hasn't defended in a while and he's not NEARLY mexican enough to make an exception for.

I can't imagine why the WBC would strip Bradley for not facing Khan, as the OP says, Khan isn't even ranked by WBC. Im sure Bradley would face his mandatory. This looks like a higher force (linked to Khan) coming into play.

Suliaman is dying for Morales to be the first Mexican with four weight division champ. Morales fighting for a vacant belt after losing a his last fight? It never ends does it?

I think Golden Boy and Khan have done everything they could to make the Bradley fight happen. He wont play so they are using their pull with the WBC to get him stripped. Morales should pick it up to become the first Mexican 4 division champ, Erik gets to make history while setting things up nicely for the Khan fight. There are a few other options at 140 I agree, but none that will make as much $$. The way I see it Morales won the fight against Maidana anyway, ofc its not the Erik Morales of old, but he's still a legitimate opponent and worthy of fighting for titles in my eyes.

All legends like are capable of pulling that one memorable performance out of the bag that no one expects. Unfortunately for Morales, he already used that up against Maidana - who, in my eyes, took him [Morales] lightly.

No way is he fit enough to be in the ring with Khan. No way. The fight will be a farce, and I hope Morales loses against Barrios.

Maybe Bradley already has an opponent in mind for his next bout, this opponent was not his mandatory...and the WBC used this as the perfect opportunity to strip him again.

Who is Bradley's mandatory by the way?

They have a rule stating that if you don't defend it every 6 months you vacate the belt. Why they may be stripping Donaire. I'm sure they probably would overlook this rule for some though.

Stripped due to inactivity. you cant pick and choose your defences thats not a proper world champ. he was better being stripped rather than losing it vs Khan anyway as it means he can rear his head when the coast is clear....Khan up at 147... oh good i can come back out and play phew!!!

Wait has it been 4 months already? How could he lose his title that fast?
