I agree..I had to stand outside MSG...how can they do this to Boxing fans? is not like they didn't have room for fans at the weigh-in. Waiting outside actually paid off...I got to meet Joe Calzaghe and got him to sign my glove.

seeing calzaghe and jones poor attempt at promotion, i'm starting to think differently about promoters :yep

what are people that were watching on ESPN ganna think when they see a man and a dog at MSG for weigh in :-( without knowing the public was locked out

not unless something drastic happens, although it will be better then what some were predicting (about 13k) no way will it sell out

i hope it does though, part of me wants all this fighters independence to succeed

Maybe Joe was so close to not making weight that he was afraid he'd have to drop trou.

You can thank Presscott for that mandated change of policy.

Seems he was attendin' an Oscar weigh-in a while back, an' Osca was down to his undies on account of Millie's cookin'

(His regular, manly Y-fronts, not them lacy panties he's sometimes pictured in)

Anyways, Ol' Jack was overcome with a sudden impulsive urge to get a souvenir for his collection.

And Osca's undies fitted the bill.

Unfortunately, Osca was wearin them things at the time and a terrible tug and tussle ensued.

    Osca was startled !

To this day he blames his failure to KO Forbes on trauma and anxiety.

Since then, the weigh-in is no longer open to the general public.

Hope that answers your query !
