don't play stupid, Rico. you know that Khan was thought to be in line to fight Floyd next, but he took on Maidana instead. so Khan was looking for a top guy at Welter to take on. Alexander by that time had just lost to Porter. Collazo (who although past his best, wasn't shot) had just had a good win over Ortiz by stoppage so he was in the running for it. he got it. don't forget that most on the forums were picking Collazo not only to beat Khan, but to knock him out as well.
Either way you look at it - it's in the past. Now where are we at? with the Khan & Bradley situation Khan is trying to prove himself as a force at WW whilst Bradley is stuck at Top Wank after achieving EVERYTHING he could have possibly achieved there (beating Provo, Marquez and losing to Pac twice) What's next for them both? considering Bradley is #3 at WW having fought & lost to Pacquiao he should now be looking to fight the best of the rest...Let's see how the story unfolds unfortunately sh*t looks grim for Timothy unless he gets the fck away from Arum and that right now is the only thing that matters as far as Timothy's career is concerned. Khan on the otherhand...who knows...Alexander or Guerrero seem likely.
Alexander and his side started to change their stance when they heard that Khan was in the running to fight Floyd. before that though, they were causing endless problems about the location and what not. remember Dubai??? Khan would have beat the **** out of the mental midget. so no, he would have lost the IBF belt. just like he did to Porter.
Naw Alexander did pull some bs with Bradley but Porter kinda caught him by surprised and took off from there. Khan was holding on for his life at point against a old Collazo Alexander beats Khan. I do think Alexander needs to get a better trainer and if he does he could be good a WW for a long time.
People with some short a$$ memories in here. BRADLEY DUCKED KHAN. PERIOD. He was supposed to fight Khan but fought Casamayor NOT Pacquiao next. His HBO contract guaranteed him a purse so he figured why take the risk. Stop rewriting history. These are the facts.
