Cus he would have been Knocked out if he fought a decent slugger early in his career

Because only fighters from the past get a PASS, and then they are seen as invincible and the favorite in all fantasy match ups with current fighters.

Because he was the protege of Rocky and that's awesome enough in my book

he was the guy who got the win over Foreman when Foreman was 27-1 in his prior 28 bouts. and he was in Rocky V

    I don't see the problem

lol let us not forget that he lost to every semi decent fighter apart from Pinklon Thomas.
Beating an ancient Foreman for the vacant WBO is hardly a great achievement.

Morrison beat some decent fighters, but did always get beat when he fought the better fighters of his era.

Ruddock, Lewis, Mercer, Thomas, Williams, Foreman....hell even Ross the Boss isn't exactly a can, he's fought a ton of top calibre guys. Every prospect gets light duty work on his way up before being tested. Lots of contenders get work in between big fights by taking picked matches for showcasing.

His record isn't even good enough to be called "padded." His resume shows him to be an average contender, which is exactly what he was.
