Why did Toney and RJJ never fight again?

I've heard Toney say repeatedly that if he hadn't underestimated RJJ, if he had trained, if he had made the weight properly, that he would have beaten him. I'm not saying that I believe this, but just that I have heard him say it.

Can anybody educate me as to why this rematch never happened? Did Toney not pursue it? Could he not make the weight? Did RJJ not want it?

    Thanks.

Also, I'm aware that James Toney is fat, and most likely enjoys Burger King and myriad other fast food.

If a rematch were granted every time one fighter made an excuse for getting completely thrashed, everybody would be fighting everybody 100 times.

It probably would have happened if Toney kept winning, he lost twice against Griffin, Griffin got the fight
