Definitely they stopped 18 days before the fight!

    It is well documented.

Really - my understanding from 24/7 is that mosley tested much closer to the fight. My apologies for being wrong..

Random blood testing with such wide window of testing is simply not acceptable.

If they want to do the tests properly, I don't think that leaving a 18 day window is not good considering that it was supposed to be the SHOWCASE of USADA testing as stated by Tygart.

Why leave a doubt or bad taste when even a simple once a week pesting, even if announced (forget "random") would not leave any opportunity at all to cheat?

Not that well documented for a definitive conclusion as to what exactly happened.

I have witnessed other discussions on this and are still yet to see concrete proof testing was ended 18 days out. 24/7 led me to think different but as I said I may have misunderstood..

what I want to know is why they started only 6 weeks before the fight? These guys trained for up to 12 weeks and sometimes they are training all year round, which means they could both have been using PEDs for several weeks. Yet when Pac asks for a 3 week cut-off period, they say no.

    double standard

this article shows that they started the drug testing program on March 22nd 2010.

    http://fightfan.com/2010/03/usada-drug-testing-for-mayweather-vs-mosley-set-to-begin/

But the fight was announced on February 3rd.

    What the ****?

    What gives?

you are now very close to the full understanding of the thread topic.

So USADA could have tested closer fight day but didn't. Why do you think they opt not to?

BTW it was already answered :rofl:rofl:rofl

which is why i said random sampling is a random test of a portion of a bigger whole as you said in your olympic analogy.
i agree with you on the part where the staff doesn't go on a whim to test the fighters...they probably have the test dates set already. but to the fighters it's still random cuz they never know when they'll be there.

Did they say testing for Pac/May would begin as soon as contracts were signed?

Because even though there were 18 days left nobody new they would stop testing so they still had the thought process that blood testing will keep taking place. Thus eliminating the chance that either fighter takes steroids as the blood testers could randomly come at any time.

Shane was tested on Monday April 26th as documented on Episode 4 of 24/7. I am at work so I can't pull video but here is an episode summary for you.
