We already established for you that Floyd and Oscar used it and get/got away with it whether it was tested for or not, partly because it leaves the body very rapidly and partly because the commissions are corrupt. USADA's Tygart sounds equally corrupt and biased for Floyd or he is just ignorant. "It's a common local anesthesia, and it's not prohibited," said Travis Tygart, chief executive of the USADA. "It's perfectly allowable to take under the World Anti-Doping Agency's program." This proves that Tygart doesnt understand NSAC rules or the dangers of Xylocain. http://boxing.fanhouse.com/2010/04/11/xylocaine-not-prohibited-by-usada/

Like I said, it wouldnt be worth the risk to use Xylocaine in training, especially before a big money fight because thick gloves, knuckle inserts and pads work much better than Xylocaine but they aint legal in a real match and :

Margaret Goodman, M.D. (speaking as NSAC Medical Advisory Board Chairman): “By numbing something out, you can't feel it. If you can't feel it, your gonna hit harder with it and then you won't even know if you really injured it.”

[FONT=&quot]NSAC's Kizer: "If lidocaine is injected, the pain receptors in the boxer may not work and he may not know if he is hurt.”

    Larry Merchant is ignorant

Bias and ignorant? He say its perfectly allowable under WADA which it is.

You have no idea if they got away with anything, why would HBO do that to their biggest star, show him as a cheater? Numbing your hands clearly before was considered a legal tactic as we saw with Floyd openly admitting the use of Novacaine.

Okay? Some fighters still choose to use it.

Yes. And they allowed it, now they don't. What is so hard to understand?

It allows a fighter to still hit within his actually bodies limits. It's not like he's pumping himself with steroids to actually have more strength.

Any fighter who numbs their hand can throw and not worry about the pain after, while a fighter who's hand is hurting, will be reluctant but it's nowhere near the same as adding plaster.

Either way, it's now illegal and Floyd has NOT tested positive. Whats the big deal?

On top of that, it takes about 2 hours for Lidocaine to be out of your system.

And a fighter would likely need to use the lidocaine that last 4-6 hours.

Which leaves about 6-8 window to be tested. NSAC will have a pee test before the lidocaine likely even wears off.

When speaking of Floyd's use of Xylocaine just prior to his fights, Tygart said: "It's a common local anesthesia, and it's not prohibited," . "It's perfectly allowable to take under the World Anti-Doping Agency's program." This proves that Tygart doesnt understand NSAC rules or the dangers of Xylocain. http://boxing.fanhouse.com/2010/04/1...ited-by-usada/

Marc Ratner, of the NSAC advised Oscar not to worry about their urinalysis because Xylocaine is normally expelled out of the body very quickly. http://www.doghouseboxing.com/Garcia/Garcia091904.htm

Lidocaine takes roughly two hours to leave the body.

And who gives a **** if WADA allows it? The NSAC is testing for it.

All you did was point out that NSAC let Oscar knowingly take an illegal substance but the NSAC let it slide because Oscar wasn't numbing his hands. Oscar was numbing the palm of his hand where he cut himself.

Lampley already did allude to his cheating in the video whether he knew it or not

What fighters used it during training?

I already established that Xylocaine is a PED in more way than one

    No and no

Clearly it is, but it's illegal now, when that video was made it was LEGAL.

    Yes actually.

There's different types of Lidocaine shots. The shorter one which last about an hour, the other last much longer.

Oscar was clearly cleared by the NSAC if they allowed him to use the shot.

If a fighter was trying to hide it, he'd need the longer lasting shot.

The numb shot Oscar likely had, likely only lasted him a couple rounds at best. The time is took to wrap his hands, warm up, both fighters walk out, both fighters introduced. Thats like 30-45 minutes already.

Actually you have not provided any proof of any of your assertions. No one has established when exactly it was made illegal but that is not what we have been arguing about is it? You originally claimed that my calling Xylocain a PED was ridiculous because you felt that Floyd only shot it up one week prior to fights. Now you try to change the subject to when or where its illegal or not.:huh

Your next assertions here make no sense either For one, Your 30-45 minutes plus a 1/2 hour fight equals about one hour and Oscar did have to take the test and it was not in his system when they tested him, whenever exactly that was. When boxing, things get cleared from the body much faster than normal so your 6 to 8 hour window is ridiculous

And you have provided proof it was illegal?

I didn't claim Floyd shot it up one week prior to fights at all. I said Nevada rules say you can't use Lidocaine a week before the fight.
I said, there are different types of Lidocaine, one that last for an hour, other one that last for 4-6 hours.

You clearly can't even read what I said properly. Theres no point in replying anymore.

I can say the sky at night looks red with the sunset. And you come back with, you said the sky was red!

It is illegal within one week of the fight

Yes you did say that it wouldnt matter if Xylocaine was a PED since it is banned one week before the fight

Why would they inject 4-6 hours worth?

First you say Six to eight hour window and now two hours

Tygart was speaking specifically about Floyd so he was misinforming him about NSAC rules and is misinformed about the dangers of Xylocaine. This is why Floyd insists on USADA protocols

The palm is right under the hand bones silly

    Thats what I said.

Because if someone was trying to get away with it, they would want the long lasting one. Not the shorter one.

How do you not understand what I said.

If a fighter took the long lasting Lidocaine, which normally last 4-6 hours. Add 2 hours to that, you have 6-8 hours of possibly being caught.

    HELLO :patsch

Floyds been aware of the NSAC rules. The NSAC official came out and said it as well. Tygart was talking about WADA rules. Floyd wants to use USADA protocols but he also knows that NSAC IS STILL ****ING TESTING. Jesus christ, do you not get that?

Ever go to the dentist? Get shot on the right side your gum but guess what, only that sides numb  the left side is still not numb, despite it being right next to the right side.

Now you're a dentist eze? LOL I'm pretty sure the amount of dose that is being injected by dentists on their patients is small comparable to the amount being used by accused boxers who use xylocaine.

The only person that can really say the truth here is Arum since he did promote ODLH and Floyd.

Have you not seen a lidocaine injection? They do in small spots. They dont load it up in one area.

I've watched my dad get lidocaine shots for when they put needles in his port. And when I was there, I asked the nurse, why does he need 3 shots to instead of one big one?

She told me the shot is made to be small when she shoots in it. Too much in one area is bad and thats the reason they do it in smaller shots.

It takes common sense to get this, not rocket science like you two are making it out to be. And plus, I wasn't claiming to be a dentist. He said that the palm is below the knuckles.

That means nothing, you are numbed in the area where you are shot. Not on the other side.
