I dunno, perhaps Ustinov lasted for as long as he could. He might've been out on his fight a few rounds earlier and dragged his ass as far as he could. We don't know but given how terrible some fighters ended up who showed too much heart, I can live with him calling it a day in a long lost fight there.

I saw that fight and Pulev overwhelmed Ustinov who is 6 feet 8 inches tall and 300lbs. Pulev was just too good for Ustinov. Pulev would knock Wilder out easily. Ustinov would knock Wilder, so would Wach, Vitali, Vlad, Fury, both Hughie and Tyson, Boytsov, but Wilder refuses to fight anyone ranked out of fear. Haye kicked Wilder's arse in sparring and Vlad totally outclassed Wilder in sparring for the Wach fight, knocked Wilder down with a jab!!!!!!!

Ustinov did seem to upset Pulevs rythym and timing tho.....i got a bit bored watchn this fight so just watched bits and peices of it. i still dont see why he would quit when he got punched by some pretty tame looking punches that made him take a knee and quit eh:huh

Who hits harder- Tua or Pulev????:think

There appears to be very little left of Tua compared with the younger Tua, so at this point I would think that Pulev punches harder that Tua. I saw that fight a long time ago, but I thought it was Ustinov's corner that stopped the fight, not Ustinov himself? Ustinov was undefeated at that time. He has only one loss now...............

nah the corner didnt have anything to do with the stoppage eh. Alexander took a knee, and was then counted out sure enough. Looked fine to me, and i have wondered about it, becos he conceded defeat by staying down. He lost when he was seemingly fully able to keep trying to land that big one.....

I know the Mag fight is on everybodys mind, and i wish him,his family, his conermen who must be going through hell right now, and his good friends all the very best for a good outcome, and for a speedy recovery.

People have to remember that Ustinov is a K2 fighter. Ustinov was originally on the doorstep to a shot a the WBC belt, so K2 rerouted him into this eliminator for the IBF against Pulev, knowing he would probably lose and that way get him out of the picture. A fight against either Klitschko and Ustinov makes no money for Vitali/Wlad (K2).

Wlad did the same thing by having Banks fight Mitchell twice, except Banks screwed up by KO'ing Mitchell the first time around. He made sure to follow the script the 2nd fight.

K2 shouldn't even bother having other HW's in the stable since their only going to prevent them from getting a shot at the world title because of their own greed. Having 2 HW champions as your boss is kinda a conflict of interest.
