Why Did Valero Reject A Fight With Prescott?

    I thought that was a good scrap between those two. Valero is not even in the position to call shots as if he was some sort of cash cow or top P4P fighter.

    I have been asking that question to the Valero nuthuggers here . . . but all I get are bullcraps excuses.

    The nuthuggers are claiming Prescott doesn't deserve Valero yet as if Valero has already proven himself and already has a big name. :lol:

    I know Prescott is not that huge of a name but he is the "Khan Slayer" IMO he has a very good chance of knocking Valero out.

    Valero needs Prescott more than Prescott needs him. Valero is an idiot for turning down that fight, he knows if he wins it a fight with Khan is VERY possible and that's a huge fight he could take since he claims he wants a big name. I don't understand how Casamayor is a better choice of opponent than Prescott.

    Totally agree...Atleast prescott has a 'name' on his record while valero has none!!!

    Valero needs to fight a name fighter to stop all the controversy on whether he is overrated or underrated, I think he is somewhere in between. Let him fight, Prescott, katsidis or another lower top 10 guy, I would also like to see him against Ali Funkeka.

    Vicente Mosquera was a very good fighter just no one ever seen him fight.

    Prescott is only known for his power but besides against Khan the only other half decent fights he fought (neither known for having great chins esp Toledo) he hit them with everything he had and couldnt even wobble them.

    Prescott stands no chance against Valero or any other top Lightweight.

    Mosquera is a decent fighter but it says a lot about Valero when thats probably his best win. Also remember Mosquera knocked Valero down as well.

    I know Prescott hasnt done much but neither has Valero thats why im dissapointed in him for rejecting the fight.
