It's either the guy doesn't understand that he needs to use the step going up . . . to reach the top or he's simply scared of the guy who KOed Khan.

I actually don't mind them not fighting right away. I hope that both fighters continue to develop their skills and their legacy grows. May'be in two years both of them will be big names and this will be a big fight.

Even if that's true (maybe so but I haven't seen enough of Prescott to judge), It doesn't explain why he turned down a decent fight that was likely to be televised on the Latin Fury PPV for the sake of calling for "bigger fights."

Sure Jheri Curl Flat Top is a beast...but Valero is a no name whose spent his career in obscurity. Just because you signed with Top Rank doesn't make you a golden goose just yet. Valero should've taken this fight, killed prescott (if he's as good as everyone says) and then forced the issue.

    obviously valero-prescott is a much better/competitive fight.
the only reason i can think of is that the ring rank casa as no.2 and valero as #3 (prescott is #7). So as far as valero is concerned for him it is a better choice. Casa is the easier fight and the higher reward.

Because for some reason he thinks he warrants a fight with the more established names. Valero needs fights like the one against Prescott, IMO!

Maybe its the size difference, that they decided that Prescott was too big. He's a big LW and Valero has only just come up to that weight.
