Why did Virgil Hunter approve of Khan moving up TWO weight classes but not Ward?

2 weightclasses for Khan, in this case 147 to Caneloweight (155), is 8lbs.
2 weightclasses up for Ward is 168 to Cruiserweight (200), is 32lbs...

And why do you believe that if someone fights at 175 or 200lbs they won't rehydrate like they do in other weightclasses?

 

That's true, but in Khan's case it's his big payday and he know's he's very likely going to lose badly. He's effectively cashing out, with maybe the Brook option still intact.
While in Ward's case he can fight much lesser fighters for millions due to his contract, and actually has somewhat of a reputation to uphold.
If they would feed him to Kova right away, he probably won't make that much money anymore for the remainder of his career.
