Probably having to do with Byrd being under Don King. Wlad rematched Byrd which was ****ing stupid as Vitali should have fought him instead, but I believe at that point Vitali already had a belt and Wlad was fighting Byrd to get a belt again.... Only people that are ******ed actually think Vitali would have loosed again. Vit was up on all of the score cards. You cannot depend on your opponent getting an injury as a way of planning to win the fight.
taking a quick look at boxrec it appeared their careers just took 2 different paths Byrd lost his WBO to Wlad then started fighting guys in the IBF ranks probably pursuing Lewis, he went on to face big names like Holyfield and Tua Vitali came back fought European Hoffman in a bounce back fight, then started facing Americans like Norris, Purrity, Bean and Donald which ranked him in the WBA, he too was in pursuit of Lewis I think they both moved on from the bout and pursued the ultimate prize, Vitali redeemed himself vs Lewis and then went on to win the RING and WBC and was recognized as the best while Byrd held the IBF Vitali may have rematched him for unification if he never got injured and had to prematurely retire who knows
Vitali was retired when Wlad beat Byrd again, Byrd was the numero uno guy with a belt at the time Vitali came back say around the time Wlad beat Rahman I think
Idiots will be idiots isn't that right Beatle? what does schooled mean in your language? does it mean winning on the cards and losing due to an injury? for me schooled is what Paquio did to Barrera or what lennox did to Tua. learn the definition of the words you are using to form a sentnece.
Byrd wouldn't want to get KOed. For that simple reason he ducked Vitaliy. He was so badly busted by Klitschko that he needed Don King to take him under his wing. Byrd was avoiding Klitschko like plague. However, he couldn't escape his fate.
one addition: the fact that Wlad had to sue King to get a rematch with Byrd during Wlad's rise from the ashes further proves the difficulty of dealing with King
But he sure did hit Vitali, hit him power shot after shot hurt him put him on his bicycle and made him quit, I'm sick of Klit fans spewing their bull**** about the Bryd match
Vitali was injured and had a surgery, remember? Contract options have fairly short expiration time so Universum made Wlad vs Byrd instead. When Byrd was free of it he signed with Don King and that killed any hope for the rematch with Vitali.
Why did Hits not make a Byrd rematch after quitting? We're all enjoying your little meltdown bumping my threads and proving nothing. Especially since you supposedly have me on ignore and never read anything i lost unless its in one of your threads! Need me to bump that quote of yours or were you just lying and read every single thing I post every single day? :yep
