Why did we let the media kill boxing?

    I agree with the original post. It would also be nice if there were not so much ****en nostalgia in the sport as if the sport has been in decline since the sixties..

    Aren't you the guy that was mocking and deriding Ding for losing recently? Perhaps you should take some of your own medicine batman.

    we paid for them to do this. we paid when they moved to regualr cable channels, then to premium(SHO and HB)) and now PPV. when we decided to do this they had complete control over what we as home viewers who seldom get to see live events get to see. with that the people who are in charge of the belts and the promoters are already rich and dont care about getting more people in the sport they are just letting it ride out and collecting thier money.

    Ding is a different kind of issue and I'm the same with any athlete/sportsman who makes excuses for their losses rather than taking it on the chin and giving credit where it is due.

    If Ding was humble, I'd have no beef.
