Why Did Wilder give Fury a title shot if he thought he was a cheater

If you can't see the difference in the versions of Fury in these two fights I can't help you

Look at the flab and loose skin spilling over Fury's trunks in the first fight ffs.

Look at the flab and loose skin spilling over Fury's trunks against Whyte, Chisora, Wilder III ... and nearly all his fights, actually.

Fury was in great shape for the first Wilder fight and he fought great, too. I know that goes against all the "he was a bloated drug addict" nonsense you guys like to spew. But it's the truth.

Fury was in great shape for fight 1 and he fought great all 12 rounds. The first Wilder fight will go down as among the best performances of Fury's career. Fury was in training for an entire YEAR before he fought Wilder. Fury had two tune ups before he fought Wilder. He was more than prepared, and it showed in his Fight of the Year-calibre performance.

Who fury may or may not be able to beat now has nothing to do with the point that I made. No one in their right mind would watch him against seferi and claim he was back to his best. And yeah wilder did choose to defend against him the second time, but the fact that he had to hear the vast majority of people talk about how Fury was robbed of a win in the first fight most likely played a big part in that.

No doubt expected to knock him out and go to the bank. He got one part right.

Tyson Fury didn't fight Wilder the night he fought Seferi. A bloated Tyson Fury who took his shirt off at the Klitschko rematch press conference didn't fight Wilder, either.

The Tyson Fury who fought Wilder in fight 1 was in great shape. He'd been in the gym for a FULL year. He had two tune ups. And Fury peaked that year at just the right time ... on fight night.

Fury was more than prepared to fight Wilder, and they staged a classic.

It was a classic, that everyone thought Fury deserved to win. Hence the fact Wilder fought him again...which I give him credit for, sometimes champions get the benefit of the doubt in fights many thought they should have lost, the true champions (like Louis vs Walcott) rematch to set the record straight.

But regardless of how Fury looked on the night, he had looked like a half whale half drunkard for the past few years. Unless Wilder can see into the future, he had no idea that Fury would be able to put in a good performance again.

How many boxers in the sports rich history have taken a few years out to abuse drugs and drink, whilst pigging out on food to the point of looking like they have their own orbit, and then came back and managed to fight at a high level again?

Wilder doesn't actually think Fury cheated. It is just his attempt to save face and continue his career. He knows a huge percentage of his fans aren't smart enough to see through that.

Wilder does not make logical sense.

    Accept it.

There are a lot of stories in the sport's "rich" history.

Guys have entered the ring under all sorts of conditions. Mike Ayala fought Danny Lopez for 15 rounds on Heroin and engaged in a fight of the year battle. Shooting up heroin before a fight isn't recommended, but it happened.

Wilder knocked out Arreola with a broken hand AND a torn bicep once. You don't see guys winning with one of those injuries, usually. Certainly not with both.

Guys (like Frazier) have won titles who were legally blind in one eye. Guys (like Arthur Abraham) won title fights with severely broken jaws. It's not recommended, but it happened.

Overcoming fight night challenges like that are truly amazing.

And there are stories like when Pazienza won a title after breaking his neck. Pazienza didn't enter the ring with a broken neck to win a title. It healed first. Then he got in shape and fought. And won.

And, just like Pazienza, Tyson Fury DID NOT enter the ring drunk and bloated.

Fury trained for a WHOLE YEAR for a heavyweight title fight, and peaked on the night of the fight ... and he had clearly, on that night, gotten far past whatever was going on the previously.

Fury didn't fight against Wilder with one blind eye. He didn't fight against Wilder with a broken hand and a torn bicep. He didn't fight against Wilder with a broken neck. And he didn't fight Wilder when he was bloated and drunk.

You guys all act like Wilder fought the guy who was the mess. You want to talk about how Fury looked the months and years before. But that's not who Wilder fought.

Wilder fought A PERFECTLY HEALTHY Fury when Fury was fully prepared, trim, with no injuries, who was sharp and in great shape. And it was a great performance by both.

Wilder should keep his mouth shut. Fury already slapped him around twice.

I'm not talking about who wilder fought on the night. I'm talking about the reason he picked Fury. And that reason was because months prior he had been a bloated mess of a coke head and looked an easy target. What happened on the night is completely irrelevant. Wilder had no reason to believe Fury could fight at a high level again, no one did.

Providing a list of fighters who fought with one eye etc is completely irrelevant from the point I'm making. Which is WHY wilder chose to fight Fury.

I can't undescended why he can just own the losses?

He gained a lot of respect for the 3rd fight, more so than any of his wins imo

Sure his skills aren't great and he was fighting on fumes at times, but that showed his heart and will to win

He should accept Fury is the better man

Tyson Fury was the RING LINEAL Heavyweight Champion when 2018 began. You know that, right?

And in "THE MONTHS PRIOR" Fury wasn't a "BLOATED COKE HEAD." Where the hell did you get that?

Here is the announcement of their first fight TWO MONTHS before the bout. That's what Fury looked like when they agreed to fight. Does he seem like he's ready to fight?

Does Fury look like an "easy target?" :hang(Give me a break.)

You can go on and on all you like, but the truth is those two were in the ring squaring up to fight as far back as during the post-fight for the Szpilka bout in 2016.

And Fury looked GREAT in the first Wilder fight. And Wilder fought him twice more after that.

When I hear you guys drone on about Fury, you'd think Tyson Fury entered the ring in a wheelchair, totally blind, weighing 400 pounds with white pounder smeared under his nose.

Fury was in GREAT condition when Wilder faced him. Their fight was an all-time classic.

Ragging about what he looked like the previous year means nothing. ZERO. You can marvel at how far Fury came back ...

But don't forget to leave out that Fury WAS BACK when he got in the ring with Wilder.

And he was BACK when Wilder fought him a second time.

And Fury was BACK when Wilder took him to court to force him to fight a third time.

At NO POINT did Wilder fight the bloated, coked up version of Fury at the 2016 Wlad press conference ...

Even though you guys seem to have it in your minds that he did when a discussion of that first fight comes up.

Fury had been preparing a full year and was ready to go.
