He should have fought DLH no matter what offer DLH was giving him because theres almost no doubt that he would beat DLH, especially the way DLH fades.

He didnt like getting a low percentage against DLH but there is so much money there in the DLH fight that its more than fighting anyone else at 50/50 ect

Because somewhere along the line Winky forgot that in order to get paid, you actually have to fight.

Winky Wright finance 101 states that receiving zero dollars by not fighting is a better way to increase one's bankroll than receiving the smaller portion of multi-million dollar purses.

Winkster has done some horrible business moves in his career.

This is not his only one, he turned down an early DLH offer for $2m (or so I read), which he later regretted and ended up chasing DLH for YEARS.

I mean I'm sure he fought in Luxembourg!!!
That's just a big posh housing scheme!!
The best of it was, most of the ones he turned down were very winnable.

Winky fought all over the world as a Journeyman, he fought here in the UK about 10 times. When he did finally get some exposure and recognision in the States I think he began to over-estimate his self worth, looked at it like he'd been at the bottom end of the scale, and now he deserved the very top end.

I think he'd of beat DLH which would of trebbled his future career earnings. It's a shame because Winky was something special, a H2H nightmare for anyone at 154lbs in history.

    Spot on.:deal
You would think that after a long struggle he would have jumped at big offers for winnable fights.

Wright has an ego as big as his skills are good.
Despite his talants he was never a top draw. In large part because he was never willing to make the fights that would have built him and his name up into becoming the star that his talents would have allowed him to be.

That's true, but in fairness his opponents fans were the ones filling up the seats. I don't think he attracted the casual fans attention like Tito, Mosley, or Taylor did.
