I didnt say badly hurt you did. Did he take a knee No..did he go down hard No..Again you may want it to be the case just like you want Wilder to be the Hardest puncher in HW history but your wrong on both accounts. Another case of jumping to your own conclusion because that's what you want it to be instead of what it really is.

Are you for real? So now a fighter needs to drop to the floor to be stopped? What planet are you on pal?

Again it just shows you know jack about boxing, you're game I'll give you that but you are stupid nonetheless.

This was one of Witherpsoon's best performances. In some of his later fights, he wasn't in the best possible shape or frame of mind. Don King iced him.

No need to resort to name calling Wass that just shows your lack of class and frustration when confronted with the truth. Grow up man. I didnt resort to calling you names when you acted the fool with your Wilder threads. Man up

It's only the truth in your mind pal, Holmes was close to being out of there no matter how much you deny it.

Because he was 15-fight novice with a limited amateur career who had only recently signed with Don King, and after beating Renaldo Snipes only a few months into his deal, he was thrown in with the world champ and was in over his head, but performed better than anyone expected.

He eased up because the moment caught up with him and he couldn't believe it was happening. Then the moment passed. And Holmes fought back.

We will never know but i think Holmes got his respect with that right hand when he looked done. Either that or he shot his load going for the finish. It was a very good HW nevertheless.

    Dubblechin,

Witherpsoon had the advantage of being in the Philly gyms. 15-0, sure, but the gym experience and sparring was more valuable. Beating Snipes after 15 fights proved he was ready. Snipes was already ranked as a ring magazine top ten heavyweight prior to fighting Witherspoon.

If anything Holmes probably underestimated Witherspoon a bit.

Yes, Holmes wanted no part of Witherspoon, or even a potentially tough mandatory with Greg Page.

I guess the bottom line is the 9th round was awesome two way action with both landing their best bombs and neither went anywhere.

Haven't really seen that in a HW title fight in a long time.

I stand by my posts. Again I'm disappointed in your lack of class by resorting to name calling. You have your opinion I have mine. No reason to stoop to name calling.

Agreed, he was hurt in a fight, but which brought out the best in Holmes. Shavers is the one who almost stopped him and strangely enough Renaldo Snipes! He was in far worse trouble in those fights
