    btw
Btw the Snipes fight was a a complete robbery then Tim didnt fight for a year. Rumor has it that the original sports bra in the mid 80s was invented for Witherspoon.

Holmes was badly hurt for sure but hung in and rebounded with with a fine right off the ropes before stringing some more together as the round went on. It was heart and determination that got him thru this patch.

I don't think Witherspoon let Holmes off the hook. Holmes getting through that round was probably a combination of factors.

Spoon seemed to miscalculate the situation, in the first half of round, and expended a fair bit of energy. He rallied again, as the round moved into its second half, when Holmes looked at his most vulnerable.

However, whilst Holmes was hurt at various points in the round, he always responded by throwing and landing several big right hands of his own. So, Holmes never stopped being an offensive threat, throughout the round, and showed his class in being able to keep his focus under fire.

Spoon was both depleting his energy against a teak tough opponent and taking punishment for his efforts, at the same time. I don't doubt that Larry's punches caused Witherspoon some pain and a pause for thought. Overall, the mix of these factors were not conducive to him ending the fight.

Makes you wonder who had the stronger right hand: Snipes or Witherspoon?
