What do you mean why didn't he have his power? This is the same guy who fought Lara. Difference is that Canelo established his power right away. Combined with speed over Angulo. Angulo never respected Lara's power. He kept coming. Was never hurt. The hematoma stopped him. Canelo literally beat him bad.

Even Al Bernstein said during round 1 that there was nothing on Angulo's punches. His punches never had any steam for whatever reason. After seeing Angulo tonight now I see why Amir Khan stood up to him so well in sparring

Alvarez handles Angulo much easier than Lara so some ***gots think Perro was paid off, some people need to get a grip.

There was no controversy tonight, Alvarez fought an excellent fight fair play to him.

Was up late and just caught the replay of the fight if you thought Angulo was going to run through Alvarez based on how he fight tonight I can see you thinking fix imo it looked like Alavrez had him shook up after the first shot of the fight, after that hard blow to open the bout Angulo seemed on his heels trying to find away around thoses power blows using "air" punches to try and find range. Gotta give the kid Alvarez credit he beat Angulo easily and showed why many feel he's the best JMW not named Mayweather.

Can wait to see what's next Alvarez has two more dates lined up for Jul, Oct? Cotto-Martinez takes place in Jun Alvarez vs the winner can't happen til the end of the year who do you think gets the summer shot at Alvarez m

This, he landed a couple of big big body shots in the first couple of rounds and I said to myself that the fight was in his control. If you can slow down a pressure fighter with body shots and pushed him back there is almost nothing he can do to win.

Angulo's punches had no power on them last because he wasn't throwing with bad intentions.

Angulo is the same guy who was mobile enough to cut off Lara and land big bombs on him throughout the fight, even at times when his feet weren't completely set. Yet last night, he barely landed a truly hard shot on Canelo, and there were stretches in the fight where Canelo was right in face. Even when Angulo was pressing the action, he was only throwing arm punches with not a single bit of force or malice behind them.

I'm not ready to scream fixed fight. But I am ready to say it was a suspect one.

He wasn't sitting down on his punches because he was backpedaling most of the night. He can't get enough power behind his shots when he's throwing them off his hind foot. Angulo can only utilize the full amount of his power when he can set his punches together while coming forward.

It was an excellent gameplan on Alvarez' part to jump on Angulo from the opening bell.

Canelo Took his Soul the very first seconds of the fight with those power punches, its unreal how much force Canelo puts on his punches.. even his jabs are power punches..
