Does anybody know why this would be amazing fight didn't happen?

I already know why Dariusz, Eubank, Liles, Nunn didn't happen, trust me I have facts and it wasn't because Roy ducked them it's almost the other way around.

This is the only would have been Jones fight I need details on.

He wanted to fight Roy Jones after his first few WBC 168lbs defenses esp after the McClellan fight. He wanted most of his purse for that fight to go to the care of McClellan. But i think money that Roy Jones wanted was a problem.Don`t give me grief anyone for that comment its just news i read at the time.Roy would`ve beaten Nigel Benn esp in the States anyway.

He was called reluctant Roy due to how his in ring performances became. It was said that he became reluctant to really open up and take people out after a while. People felt that Roy didn't do it much because he didn't want to take the chance of getting hit and also he supposedly, from his own words, didn't want to hurt anyone badly. Thus his fights began to become more like sparring matches, then actual fights.

I think Roy had the wrong attitude all along. In his prime, his attitude was along the lines of ''I'm the best, if they wanna fight me, they gotta come to me and on my terms''.

When he got beaten his attitude changed and he started making fights with Tarver, Calzaghe and Hopkins.............and got his a** kicked.

In his prime, his attitude should have been ''I'm at my best, I'd better whoop ALL these guys quick before I start declining''

    A shame
