floyd's a billionaire i don't know why cotto just didn't ask him. but cotto's net worth is 15 million, and i'm sure he has a couple million in his bank accounts so there's no reason why he couldn't pay the sanctioning fee. he just didn't want to.
Why pay anything if you're not planning to defend it and get stripped anyway and/or expect to lose the upcoming fight. What I do see as low, is that he also seems to refuse to pay the step aside money, after GGG stepped aside... if that's true, he might get sued.
jesus...just shut up you idiot....cotto is making 22+mil for this fight alone.....its not that he cant afford it....he knows the wbc is a racket and they know what hes making so theyre trying to take more than what he feels is legit .....and hes saying screw you I don't care.....of course he just didn't want to...and who cares...yer dumb and so is this thread....go drink bleach
+1 Robney, he basically said it. He never had any use for it after Canelo. That's exactly why his title reign ****es me off.
The problem is not the 300k for the sanction fee was the whooping 800k to Golovkin imposed by the WBC to make the fight, the same WBC that was supplicating in the first place to make the fight. The WBC and De la Hoya where the one asking for this fight not Cotto. So why Cotto had to pay 1.1 to 1.4 in some other sources to the WBC.
cotto could have easily paid that fee for the WBC belt... it's a cowardly move by cottoe. he should have never fought for the belt
I'm sure Cotto's worth a lot more than 15mil. Where you getting your figures from Celebrity Networth? That site don't know anything, I see them put up 15mil for a lot of celeb's and it stays that way for years even though they were still working and making mil's.
you're right, it was 15 million last year. now on another site it's saying his networth is 34 million as of 2015.
