Why didn't Cotto or Margarito ever fight Mayweather?

    I thought he didn't retire until 2010 and then came out of it for the Victor Ortiz fight? Did he retire twice?

    :lol:Why because he beat Zab? Zab was a pretty good win for Floyd but I'm sure no one would accuse him of ducking Baldomir if they didn't fight. Floyd made more money without Arum so I can't blame him for leaving Arum.

    I asked Cotto the same thing at his apartment a few years ago around the time he was fighting Gomez and he said, " I can't force him to fight me "

    At that time Mayweather wanted no part of either of them!!!

    A lot of people had a pre-Margarito Cotto winning against Floyd. I still wished that fight came off.

    baldomir was the linear champion Cotto WAS STILL AT 140 at the time. Cotto's people did not want the fight

    Floyd retired

    and then Floyd came out of retirement and beat the man, Mosley who emerged as top dog following the Williams, Margarito, Cintron, Clottey title passing around

    I mean i dont remember those 2 fight being that talked about until after Floyd retired not before he retired

    and then soon after Floyd retired Cotto Margarito and Williams all lost
